a dissection into the virgo male via Mr. Burns

foreword: this is not a SERIOUS dissection actually.. i mean... i'm talking about the Simpsons, first of all.
anyways i'm a pretty avid Simpsons fan and i noticed with my own virgo eyes while watching the Rosebud episode that Mr. Burns is none other than a virgo as well! It was the part where Homer, with the responsibility of hosting the birthday party, woke up and gasped at the calendar marked September 14th (Mr. Burns' birthday). and really it all makes sense! he's pretty much the embodiment of the bad stereotypical characteristics of the virgo (male)... the eternal lonely bachelor, the thirst for obtaining material wealth/security/stability, miserly, the feeling of never feeling fulfilled, emotionally cold bordering on cruel even, etc. i think though, that the Rosebud episode really gives another dimension to his character that in my opinion, a lot of virgos can relate to, myself included... and that is of childhood innocence...almost like an idolization of its effervescent purity that unfortunately can never be truly captured again. (some of my favorite novels deal with the theme of childhood and innocence lost actually.. i.e. The Idiot, Lord of the Flies) could this be another way the symbol of the virgin manifests itself in the virgo? perhaps...
interestingly, the Rosebud episode is a parody of Citzen Kane, which is in turn a retelling of the life of William Randolph Hearst (another billionaire), who is a taurus. so i suppose this could apply to our fellow earth brethrens as well.
basically even though virgos may seem cold, there's a squishy part in all of us buried somewhere deep deep down. have patience with us smile

Thats what Im sayin....I lol'd at this hard!

Mr. Burns sounds more Capricorn to me too, Ands! Virgos can be laidback. We are a strange mix of serious and lax. That's why people often see me either as a cool naughty kid or a downright serious nerd. smile Caps on the other hand are the ultimate serious people but they can be very funny as well with their dry sense of humor. smile

I always thought of Smithers as more of a Virgo with all of his years of loyalty and service!

Is Homer a Pisces?

wow how did you know!? homer has the same birthday as the dog, santa's little helper. the dog is born on march 12 so that would make homer a pisces! does that make marge a virgo then because she's the complete opposite of him? always worrying and nagging :p
