But, the men weren't what you thought ... they had no intentions of hurting you.
Here's the reality ........ two men are on the sidewalk, minding their own business, when a woman approaches with a mean look on her face, looking right at them, with a Pit Bull. That makes YOU the aggressor.
Your intention was to intimidate them ... which makes you the aggressor.
Their intentions appear to be innocent from what you wrote, and only got in your face to defend himself from you and your dog.

I think what you did was very irresponsible, people are effing CRAZY, you just have to watch the news everyday.... You could be in the hospital right now after being raped by 2 guys or stabbed or even dead. You are a woman that lives alone, dog or no dog, family around, cop neighbors , it doesn't matter, you ALWAYS lock your door, you bring your phone with you and you always stay alert. If I saw 2 suspicious guys I would have turned around and stay as far away from them as I could, if they start threatening I would pull my phone out and call the cops or start screaming, you don't get into a confrontation with 2 strangers especially if you are a female and if you are outnumbered.

When i got closer to my apt.. I stopped and I was standing in the grass with my dog at my neighbors (they werent even near me yet)...watching to make sure they werent gonna do something more than peeing where kids play plus I wasnt about to try and go into my apt with them still there...that would be dumb. They were smiling because he almost got caught doing that...it wasnt a friendly smile. These were punk ass random dudes who just got off the bus down the street.

You dont have to get into a confrontation with anyone and things still happen...you can be alert as ever and things will still happen, you can call the cops all you want...but I guarantee if you do and your attacker wants to kill you, they will do it before the cops even show up. I understand where you are coming from but also lots of people, male and female, get hurt/killed because they feel invincible or because they trust their"street smarts" too much. I do believe that nobody knows how we would react when faced with a dangerous situation, we don't know wether we would fight or flight and that's why I would rather avoid these situations, I would rather prevent and be safe than risk my life.
I was assaulted back in my country, I am originally from Peru and I was walking back home at night, I was really close to home and a guy was following me and saying nasty things, I felt safe and instead of hurrying home I turned around and confronted the guy, he grabbed me and try to force me into this car other guy was driving, then I fought like crazy, i kicked, bit and screamed, thank god a neighbor intervened and they got scared and left. I had to go to a hospital bc I got a good beating that night. The only reason I was not taken into that car, raped and probably killed was because I screamed and people intervened not because I fought the guy.

There is one thing I learned that night, guys are stronger, that is a fact, they have almost double our body mass so when it comes to brute force we are mot a match. We can feel strong in every area of our lives, we are emotionally stronger, we handle stress and pain better but they can overpoer us very easily. That is why I choose to avoid confrontations and dangerous situations by being aware of my surroundings and being careful every time I step outside, it is not weakness or living in fear, is common sense.
I would rather prevent, once I am in the middle of the incident I did fight like crazy and I got lucky, believe me I don't want to be involved in something like that ever again.

He came out from the side of the two apartments zipping up his pants...after they walked up the street..I went over there and there was a huge pee spot on the building and sidewalk. I didnt catch him in the actual act of peeing...but its a pretty clear what he was doing. Cause I had a feeling they were going to try and mess with me and I was right. But I didnt go up to them...them came up to me. I hung back and watched...I just wanted to be closer to my apt since I did leave my big door open (screen door was shut, not that that makes a difference)

I think what you did was very irresponsible, people are effing CRAZY, you just have to watch the news everyday.... You could be in the hospital right now after being raped by 2 guys or stabbed or even dead. You are a woman that lives alone, dog or no dog, family around, cop neighbors , it doesn't matter, you ALWAYS lock your door, you bring your phone with you and you always stay alert. You dont have to get into a confrontation with anyone and things still happen...you can be alert as ever and things will still happen, you can call the cops all you want...but I guarantee if you do and your attacker wants to kill you, they will do it before the cops even show up. You put yourself in situations everyday by stepping outside...

I understand where you are coming from but also lots of people, male and female, get hurt/killed because they feel invincible or because they trust their"street smarts" too much. I do believe that nobody knows how we would react when faced with a dangerous situation, we don't know wether we would fight or flight and that's why I would rather avoid these situations, I would rather prevent and be safe than risk my life.
