How typical is it for a virgo to get tongue tied?
For example:
You're asked a question, but take extra long and might even not answer it. Or you start st-s-st-stuttering.
Has a nerve been hit? No emotions huh? I don't think so... gotcha virgos!

tongue tied? nope, im usually pretty blunt with replys, although if I take a long time to reply i might be weighing whether the answer might be better left unsaid.

If by tongue tied, you mean a pause of silence before making our reply, then yes, happens often for me. In addition to what namor said above, we are weighing the desired impact of our words along with the implied meaning and how the listener will interprete

From my experience with a Virgo .. I see it as something different from how you guys process within yourselves ..

Normally, when he becomes silent and doesn't know what to say, it's because he's trying to anticipate what he thinks I want him to say. And this appears to be true to me .. because he'll then ask me what I meant, exactly, before offering an answer.

So, what I see when this happens .. isn't a concern of how the Virgo words are coming out to be interpretated, rather, trying to process the interpretation of the other persons words .. so an accurate/appropriate response can be returned.

Which also oftentimes leads the other person to assume the Virgo is a bit tardy since they cant just splurt-out (i made that word up) whatever it is that first comes to mind.....

Not being able to splurt-out 😉 , while knowing that the Virgo is very verbally affluent, would indeed look (re)tardy.

I'm not getting this from the tone of the thread, though. The motivation here was to emotionally manipulate ... which caused the Virgo to be tardy.

To stutter, or not answer doesn't seem that unusual for a Virgo who is trying to process an answer that doesn't fit within logical, and will have to mentally process. However, that above quote coupled with the bottom, which infers that an emotional reaction was anticipated, with a nerve being hit and a "gottcha" attached .. infers that this question which made the Virgo stutter was an attempt to create an emotional response with intentions of ridicule. If it was just to explain a condition and ask a question, then why st-s-st, while typing stutter? To type it that way, means it was intended to be ridiculing.

Sorry tollbooth .. I only know how to analyze behaviour/motive, and not very good with jokes because they escape me most times.

Never really tongue-tied, and if I am it's becuase I'm pissed off, but even then the lava just flows right on out....but speech just comes easy to me, I'm confident giving speeches so being tongue-tied is really a realative of a lack of confidence, so I wouldn't know anything about that. Come to think of it, If I'm not talking about something that interests me, I'm not talking at all.....

With me I feel the need to talk when I feel the energy surging up in me I talk up a storm then I'm done, and I'm quiet: basically I talk till I burn out, then I'm thinking again. But normally, I'm in my own world doin' my own thing.

Its like Virgos arent even listening to what you really 'mean', they just have to have a snappy reply as soon as you're finish speaking!
