In vedic astrology leo is from August 17th through September 16th vedic astrology is the original astrology Now I know what your are saying I don't feel like a leo. Thats because vedic astrology splits up each sign into 4 peaces called Nakshatra each Nakshatra gives you a different example of leo or what ever sign its in. For example I am in Purva Phalguni Nakshatra.
I will show each naktrshatra of leo and you tell me which one fits you.

First one Magha
The individuals of this nakshatra have prominently good physical characteristics. The outer attractiveness is one of their conspicuous personality traits. Males are usually short in height and hairy body; females are attractive with a long bunch of hair. Which kinda makes sense because in western astrology I'm a Leo Virgo Cusper, being born on the 19th of aug... But I feel more fiery.
This would kinda apply to my moon in Vedic being in libra. Which makes sense with the whole aesthetics department.

Apparently I'm a third decan Leo, with my decan in Aries .

I believe in finding all the holes in astrology... so I look at numerology, vedic(seems to be the best at future but apply to other astrology in weird ways), Mayan, Chinese, and so on...
Again all of these systems may not be perfect because they where thought up from different crop cycles... and the equinoxes... So if they are at different points in the world this means different weather condition... So they would plant a different times... and had different crops better resistant to cold or less depending on location...
Non of this is really exact in my thoughts... the idea is to take them together and find the trend... and go with that...
I do believe the moon had much more of an effect... and I never really thought much of it until about 5 months ago when I realized I was a aqu moon actually in vedic... but that as made me a 12 house sun Pisces... which explains my Pisces Moon in normal astrology... both are not wrong about these things but again you have to think India is low then Greek and Romans... So their is a little play...
Some times I believe people focus on what is right and wrong more then seeing how they can work together and connect the dots...

Yes vedic is good at future stuff it did predict my marriage and what type of wife I will have. I think western is better on personality traits. Wester use the equator to find each sign and vedic uses the tilt of the earth to find the signs.

Dimplez, you share my "ex"husband's birthday. But I find the Decans confusing. I have seen my Decan in the 2nd and the third (Aug 12). I fall in second decan based on what I have read almost to a T.

This is very interesting. I always questioned my "ex"husband's being a Leo. I guess Dimplez said, she is a cusper and he has her birthday as well. He is more on the Virgo side and very quite. He doesn't like conflict. But does take care of those he loves. This fits him and his love for music.

No they are not... Vedic can be confusing... you are very much a Cancer... what this talks about it the different placements... It is kinda like in normal astrology if you are born and such and such day your Cancer influence will be different then then next day... Well this is more focus on a block of time then the day... Think of it as a second influence on your Cancer because you are Cancer...
But be proud of it... there is nothing wrong with having a big heart other then you get hurt a lot... if you put yourself out there to much when you can see that you have a good chance of getting hurt...

I have had a really ruff night on the board and am trying to study for a quiz I need to get an A on... I am sorry but finding that point or why you are like that is not easy always... I am sure it is in there...
I hate doing this but seeing how the day has been shitty...
I would look at your chart and compare to dimplez... you both have the same thing... she is like you...
I am not on talking terms with her and don't feel like looking at her chart even though it is still in my astro.com account... I am sure I will get around to deleting...
All I can say it is becoming a lot harder to help or try to answer question when I feel so hated on all the time around here... I am trying to stay positive but really just about had it with this site again... I was ready to delete a few days ago because of stuff...
So I am sorry but everything right now is just become a drain or taxing on me...

I am sorry you have had shitty day on this board and I have added to it. My question is not really important. I accept I have ADD and OCD, they are in constant battle and the ADD seems to win all the time, I am cool with that. WinkingAnd the lest of my concern in my current life situations. I have that balance. No love loss here from me. Do what you need to do for you and take care of your priorities. This site or any other comes last to the needs of any person.
