Harry Potter - Deathly Hallows Pt. II

I went to see it this past weekend. I even re-read the book (all 759...Jesus...) in 6 days, just to have it fresh in my mind (I'm the type to watch the movies after reading the books, with my glasses on the tip of my nose, just looking for extreme differences, lol).
I was okay with it, Alan Rickman's parts nearly brought me to tears, but then...then they severely screwed up the ending. I have no clue why. If they had just stuck to the book for the ending, it would have been awesome.
Did anyone else see it? Thoughts?

It just annoyed the hell out of me how he snapped the most POWERFUL WAND IN THE WORLD in half, like it was a twig in his backyard. Why???!!
Like I always tell everyone. Sequals are never that good and Books as good as Harry potter can never be brought to life in a movie as well as in writing.
I still cant wait to see it though. I should probably read the book again to remember as well, it's been a while.
I'm tired of movies giving me run downs so I'll watch the movie before reading the last book. That way I won't feel like wonderous details were excluded for my enjoyment.

Harry is shrewd . He is not filled with ego like everybody else and that's what makes him resist voldy's temptations . The wand has a very violent history and tends to corrupt the possessor (No matter how good his heart is). Plus people will certainly will try to kill harry for it and all sorts of headaches will come around his family . The last thing harry needs is more trouble . I think you need to be wise to understand what he did .

No--the reason why I said that was because that's not how it went in the book.
He restored his old wand, in the book, and returned the wand to Dumbledore's grave.
No one else can possess that wand unless they take him on and win it, and once he dies of natural causes, the power of the wand dies with him, and it can NEVER be possessed.
I was mad that they made him snap it in half, as if a wand that powerful COULD be snapped in half.

That's my motto.
Although w/LOTR, I gave up on reading that gibberish, LOL. The movies were great, but the books were just dizzying.
Don't apologize for your anger, CM, LOL!
I was angry too!!! To have read through that book last week, and have them completely fudge the ending, I was like, "WHY?!"
Yeah, that 19 years later thing was eyeroll worthy. None of them looked older, it was like, "all the money for special effects you put into this damn movie, and you couldn't do better than that?!"
They couldn't even put glasses on the youngest one, who stooped down to tie his shoes. He would have looked so much like a young Harry (-_-).
They really just pounded this movie in the ass. I was seriously upset.
