Confidence trickster
Wonder what that
Really means
Do they trick you into revealing your low self esteem?
Or are they giving the illusion of confidence
When they're anything but..

Confidence trickster? Do you mean someone who is genuinely confident and doesn't need to pretend to be so? or do you mean the opposite?
Most Taurus' I know exude a grounded, unshakeable, but calming confidence. That's why it's so easy for us to relax. We know who we are.
lol weird...

hope i've used the right term,
but someone that makes you believe,
and the world for that matter
that they are
who they say they are.
what they pass themselves off for in the world

So a really good liar, a con (wo)man? Nope don't think I've ever dated a really good liar. Everyone has a tell.
Hmmm this all sounds like a good mystery novel...my interest is piqued

my mama was screaming
my dad was sad [or would have been were he alive, she was old and frail and i was caring for her]
"I WILL DISOWN YOU!!!!"
over the phone,
as i lay in her
dark arms
in the middle of the night.

my mom hadn't even met her,
nor seen a likeness of her.
God rest her soul,
but she was right

picture a
beautiful,
slender woman
in African dress.
with
aquiline features
and a passport smile,
ivory white,
but
resembling
a Whoopie Goldberg.
gliding, graciously,
through the leafy
campus
in the speckled
sunlight

she was a widow
her husband
who would have
died
of an unpronounceable
cancer
left her
to jump off
a bridge
in his hometown
far away
in order to
spare her
the grief
