This is hard.

Ok.....
how about this:
Beside any form of sex, intimate relationships, talking on the phone/internet,
what practical interests do Virgo people enjoy? ie Hobbies, line of work, etc..
You're welcomed to show your moon if you like. That sign, they say, is how you express yourself.... I think.
Because male and female are opposite genders, it reasonable to think they would have different interests.

Hi bloodflood.
I presume that you are an American female studying abroad. If so, that may be a good thing as the American
Universities may be substandard in some disciplines. Also, you are getting a taste of foreign life. Not too
bad a combo. Certainly something you will remember all your life.

I studied GeoPsychophysiological Logistics Analytics (GPLA), with emphasis on Geovariable Frequency Radial Pneumatic Psychophysiologistics, Navigation/Maintenance/Management Operations Command (VFRPP-NMMOC) at a Classified University (R) The orientation period turned out to be the the first month, but once I got the hang of it's complex varied systems discplines, it pretty much became routine. It's grueling work, long hours, months away from home. Solitary
field work.

Anyway, yes, I don't agree with "free love", gay love, and huck-a-buck love.
I believe in monogamy and that the love that brought that union together should be real.
Pretty much old fashioned. Like old time root beer.

As for brooding. I cannot speak for the others but there are times when
one broods in order to think things through. This is in part because of the passion factor.
The intensity is simply magnified greater. - Pity other signs don't experience that for themselves.
Also, sometimes we are deep thought which may lead one to think we are brooding.

I could walk through a door in perfect peace and tranquility and be asked what I am angry about.
"I'm not angry".

Sometimes, that does get a bit annoying. (I don't mind you askin' though)
It's like asking "Why are you black?" or "Why are you smiling?" "Why are you in a wheelchair?"
or "Why are you naked on International News?"

For the record, I am very easily misunderstood.

Hobbies? I get obsessed with one then something else appears. Psychology, serial killers, traveling, treasure hunting, art (especially sculpture). Anything that moves me, I delve into it. Played basketball for 10 years.

Pretty much everything that involves people and if I can help in some small way..all the better.

Sculpture is related to the earth. Are you interested in this from an art admirer or artist point of view, ie do you sculpt? - If you go to the Art forum, you'll find I posted a thread there on pottery. While not commonly thought
of as an art, in the traditional sense, it IS, nevertheless, a form of art. "Throwing clay" is NOT easy. Sculpting isn't easy either. However, sculpture would definitely be one signature artform for the Virgo.

Basketball? interesting. It involves the use of the hands. Not unlike Sculpting.

Treasure hunting - is it the find or the thrill of the chase?

Psychology and Serial Killers - Bottomline - to find out why people do what they do, and addiction. Killing
is a terrible act but an still "act" on the stage of life. Serial killing is either appeasing an addiction or playing out a story, a scene, or a role, (ie act one, act two, etc). - It's closely related to mass killing which is the product of a different cause/effect. - Absolute Hate or Sense of Helplessness or Fear is at the root of such crimes as murder.

Travelling.
Oh yes, done plenty of that.

Thank you, I will check it out. Just an admirer, I'm not good with my hands when it comes to art. My soul completely loses itself in it though. When I went to Paris I visited Rodin's museum..the statues were amazing. Bernini is another favorite of mine. I need to find those pics and post them. I did pottery on a summer camp..10 years ago..loved it. I love using my hands. I'm better with practical stuff. And I really like cooking.

What I loved most was the coordination and the team work. I work better by myself but in team sports you need to focus on the whole group and basketball helped me tremendously. I also had a lot of aggressive energy growing up so it was either playing sports and going into competitions or getting into fights.

Both. Do you know The Amazing Race? It's kind of like that. I've been to many, each one different but the best was one set up by the French Embassy..teams of 3 had to roam around Bucharest and find 7 buildings with only one hint for each. And boy where the hints so vagueee. I'm really good with strategy so on the final building we couldn't find..I thought of something no one else thought about. The gist was that at every one of those buildings there was a French jury of 2 who had to stamp our cards. I figured out it was a belgian restaurant we were looking for but there were a lot in Bucharest and I was running out of time. So I went online, got all the phone numbers and started calling.

(cont..)

I knew a bartender or a cleaning lady would pick up and these are the people that know what is going on in those establishments. Finally, one told me "Yes, there are 2 French guys here". We won the first prize..trip for us 3 for 3 days in Paris at a 4 star hotel. I discussed it with my team mates and since we're young and we didn't need the luxury, we told them if it's possible to downgrade to a 2 star hotel in Montmartre next to the students and stay in Paris for longer. They had a budget for it so they were ok..3 day trip turned to 6 day trip to Paris.

Yes, it's extremely interesting for me. I read and read and analyzed and it end in my mind it is about playing out a fantasy. If you come to think of it, we all dream this life in a different way, based on our perception of reality and how it plays to our personality. We don't even see things the same way. I read this study in an Art School..they had to paint one tree from the garden and they'd be paired up in teams of 2. Each would paint one half of the painting, the other would paint the other half. When the 2 paintings were connected at the end...you couldn't even figure out it was the same tree. That's the difference in how we perceive things.

All very good, Damnata. 🙂

It may surprise you that you probably have the talent in you to make sculpture and pottery.
I say this because of your basketball experience. - Perhaps time will tell, and you may one day
look back at your pottery experience and something wonderful and deep will begin to spring up and
for whatever reason, you are compelled to get your hands into it again.

I myself am not good at it, but I have a very nice potter's wheel and some tools - I REALLY like it.
For me, what I find exciting about it is the spiritual aspect of working clay that I get as I kick the wheel.
It's DEFINITELY a special thing and I have nothing but the highest respect for those who can turn a cup, a pot
or whatever. Of course, there IS slipcasting and other techniques but really, there is something extremely
special to me about that wheel.

My favorite ceramics are Blau (Blue) Delft tiles, French LeMoges (sp?), German ceramics, English Wedgewood,
But honestly, the Chinese.. Ming and Qing dynasty work is just beyond beyond. You know it takes time to
make a pot, then to decorate and write upon the work. But in China, those artisans could work on a vessel
and IF it did NOT meet the Emperor's satisfaction, it was tossed into the potter's ground shattered to bits.
That's like Michaelangelo's work being painted over or smashed. - imagine... I mean.... IMAGINE! That is so insane. BUT...... we now can understand why there is such magnificent beauty and excellence in Chinese porcelain.

Regarding the tree painting. That is a fascinating lesson.

Here in the United States, these things are not appreciated any more.
Certainly not on the scale as one may find in the old country.

Consider the architecture - In Europe, there are so many places that one can go and it
seems like time has stood still architecturally. In the US, it's a Vomit Comet. - No really.
All it says to me is the lesson you just described in the tree painting.

When there are too many people working on the same thing having too many different ideas, the
result is "confusion". It's very depressing to look at.
And.... it mirrors the society of the US.
For all it's freedom and liberty propaganda, it forgets discipline, restraint and focus.
The result coast to coast corruption across the social/political/economic spectrum.
Americans drank the Kool-Aid and now have poo-poo milkshake for brains.
This is why the United States IS going to fall.
I'm shaking my head.

I am part Native American Indian and Caucasian European.
Part of me tells the other part of me, that tried to kill me.... to go home.
