Am I the only one...or do you think you're far from being a perfectionist too? (asking fellow virgos)
As far as I know, Virgo is the far most realistic sign of the 12. Which makes me think, how did we even come to being generalized as perfectionists if we are the most realistic? (If you are realistic how can you be perfectionist, knowing you can't be perfect in anyways)
Ok I admit we do criticize a lot but does that make us perfectionists? No..we're more like...a problem viewer/solver. Our realistic view on everything makes us criticize and serve this world and humanity to perfection.
WE are NOT perfect. We are NOT perfectionists. OUR GOAL is to bring perfection to this world and humanity NOT US...
If everyone is like Sagittarius, happy and carefree or Pisces who dreams pretty dreams but do not face reality Aquarius who thinks out of the world but do not follow the common, basic rules of society Libra who weighs but cannot decide which is right Cancer who is a mothering nature that worries but doesn't do anything about it ...and so on.
Where would this world go?
Who would do the most unwanted, uncool, annoying job?
somebody's gotta do it.
And virgos are doing it. Virgos are the servants of this world, humanity. the true workers that stay behind the scenes.
So...to just sum up our natural "yearning" to criticize and be realistic (Our natural ability to help this world come close to being perfection or at least settle this world as more solid, stable, good society.) makes us seem like perfectionists, or nit-picky people but we are the ones who know better that we are not perfect or perfectionists. Because we see our own flaws the most. And our intentions as to criticizing is never bad, because we are born servants and we only mean good to you. We won't even bother to criticize if we never actually cared.
And please, do not be offended as we all have positive/negative sides to us I did emphasize some "bad" traits of other signs but I only did that to emphasize how OUR OWN negative trait would work against that... I'm sure it's not only Virgos that serve this world. Oh heck no. But I understand how virgo mind works, so I thought I'd put them into words & share... (cuz it seems like there's a lot of misunderstanding about us virgos) Every sign puts their individuality into this world and that is what's so special and wonderful about this world But I'm only focusing on the Virgo side. I'm not putting down other signs.
can you talk about your personal stuff somewhere else? It's bothering me when people are posting random crap on my thread. Especially if I wrote something serious like this. if you don't like my idea or you think it's stupid leave it alone. Don't need to comment.
I think the reason why they may be percieved this way (my moon sign is that of a Virgo and believe me when I say that I do feel these same character traits as well on top of having a Cap sun sign) is because of the way they present themselves - groomed hair, well dressed, right down to their very posture, and their work ethic - believe me when I say that I not only see it in myself but esp. in a Virgo's work ethic - I work in retail and part of our job has alot to do with organization - and one of my co-workers (whom is a guy) is a Virgo and very meticulate about how he does his job - everything in a particular group and lined up in an orderly fashion - I mean I know he's not perfect - none of us there are - so I think a better word would probably be 'orderly' Virgo's seem to like order and organization - I mean I've been to his house (he got injured on the job so my ex and I decided to visit him and pay our respects) and his house looks lived in - it was cluttered but it still was organized for the most part - I find that I'm the same way - if I have too much clutter around me - it gets to me after awhile - I need to clean it up or organize it or something because I feel that everything has a place and it shouldn't be in the middle of nowhere - though I remember this one time that just amazed me at how organized not just one - but TWO Virgos can be - one night they were throwing up boxes to put onto this dedicated area in a particular aisle where everything needed to go - and there were ALOT of boxes - these two did what I could not ever fathom being so dedicated at doing as well as they had done - if you've ever seen a full screen of blocks on a Tetris game - I kid you not (cause everything has to face forward so it can be pulled accurately) every box they had filled up every shelf possible with every last cubic inch of space possible in these shelf spaces! I wish I had a camera because it was just an amazing work of art how everything fit so perfectly - and knowing that they were both Virgos got me believing the true nature and potential a Virgo is capable of doing so naturally! Its a gift I believe - it may not be perfectionism - (as mentioned before - after all - nobody's perfect) but their uncanny ability to organize (and even delegate and lead if they have to - cause even though its said that Virgos prefer to be followers than leaders - as I've even had Virgos tell me this themselves - some of them have shown impressive ability to lead and delegate
I think others perceive Virgos as perfectionists, simply because they are always working towards this goal of being perfect.
Some look deeper, and see that the Virgo himself does not see himself as perfect. He/She usually is humble, able to see the world the way it is.
The whole concept, however, of "seeing the world as it is" is an interesting one. A fire sign may see the world not as something that needs to be fixed, but rather as a stage on which he or she may enacts his visions/fantasies...he sees a world full of possibilities.
So which sign is the most "realistic"?
BTW, I appreciate your telling people not to fill up the thread with their blether. Dy's thread about Virgos taking risks could have been a lot more interesting had people not hijacked it! Gosh, guess I'm stuffy, but I like to learn!
...I have yet to meet a virgo who is not hard on himself....
While I have known a couple of these too .... Most of the Virgos I know seem to be attracted to what is imperfect in other people or things. It seems like it may even help them accept themselves more knowing there are others who aren't perfect either. Since they are normally so hard on themselves. Which brings in the attraction to reality I guess.
Sometimes it also seems like the attraction to imperfections gives them something (or somebody) to work on lol. And maybe that's where the enjoyment of being needed comes in.
These are just the ones I know.
