Hello, this is a board to discuss religon/religious related topics...I've been wondering about this whole 'god' business.....The faith and belief I have, it's just I've been wondering why some things in christianity/catholism seems to act as a 'fail-safe' for the religion.....for example we are 'supposed to' believe in God, and Jesus, based off of little more than 'fear of hell', but I ask why, and am told 'because ultimately you will go to hell if you do not'....what? basically, I question wether or not god is real because everything (to me) seems based on unrealistic expectations; if you make on slip, one mistake in life, you go to hell, and suffer....how can we as infalable creatures ever have a shot a 'final glory' if we are born only to live, but bound realistically to ere?; to ere is human, yet unaceptable in the same sense because it isn't 'permissable' to the greater creator; how the heck does anybody get into heaven anyway, and what do you guys think this 'criterion' is to get to those pearly gates.....and who ever said they were pearly?! lol

Really, I believe in god, but why/who put these ridgid standards on humanity?; it seems reeeeeeaaaaaaal catch-22 if you follow me....We can't get to heaven if we don't do right, we can't do right because we're human and we ere, we ere because it was in the grand-design for he knew us to partake of the fruit, and would doom ourselves to 'this life' instead of the garden of eden we were 'promised'....I pretty confused....😢

Depends on your faith however its not all flowers and butterflies no matter which faith it is.Theres always something to instill disipline or whatever in all of them.

With chrisianity inparticular it sounds like you asked someone who doesn't know thier own religion too good.You are forgivable if you ask and pay pennace or whatever to god(notice I did not post church😉) for your sin.Basically like dealing with a consequence for an action if you put faith in a religion and "sin" you have to make up for it and actually mean it.Alot of christians look at thier faith hippocritically as well as if its some kind of job or fast food resturaunt.They go to church,blah,blah,go into confession for thier sins(or sometimes don't cause "they never sin" cause they christian or catholic,whatever)then go out and sin repeatedly while preaching to everyone whos "going to hell" whos not christian,etc. so church goers aren't exactly the best source to look at when trying to analyse christianity.Its the human part of playing mob or some kind of wanting to be superior issue with some people.If you were to go straight to the bible it doesn't seem all that bad but you still notice a few contradictions in it,doesn't give answers like you'd read in science class or whatever.Its gives you stories about why things are this and that way depends on you really if you want to make it your faith or not.

For more than 4000 years we?ve been told/scared/feared by the religious gurus of GOD almighty order, that if we don?t follow his order, we get zapped by his wrath?it is not what God said? but what they said...

Heaven or hell----- bullshit.. we create our reality heaven or hell are included by ?our personal standards?..




Do you know what love is..?? Dedications and selflessness? God is love?. if you follow the fear.. then you have problem with love? you have problem with God and his /her identity...

VE... I'm a little stoned atm... so forgive me = ) I haven't read all of your post... Give me a regular email address and I'll send you a file I got a few years back... The Impossible Voyage Of Noah's Ark. It's virus free, so don't fret. It's under 300k, so not big... was written in 1987 I think by a scientist for a scientific publication. I got a copy and converted it to HTML or something that could be read online. It'll show you that the bible is not foolproof... not infalable, or 100% correct. Well... that's up to you of course. I sent a copy to P-Angel and she said she got it, but I haven't heard from her since, heh.

Thing is though,the bible isn't true,err OK but then again I should probably also say I don't follow a major religion first off so I can tip more towards atheism more than anything else when it comes towards religions.People put faith in thier religions and make it "thier" truths just as an atheist does towards evolution however evolution doesn't need anything but like one single link between monkeys and primates to have it proven 100% so personal opinion leans more towards evolution.Which I find funny sometimes too cause the bible isn't provable and its just mostly theories with thier version of "science".I for one cannot think of any 7 eyed goats or anything thats been recovered from the earth.Its kinda like they're despriately clinging to that one link missing as a loophole towards not teaching all things in science.I was looking at a catholic school book awhile back and even the chemical chart thing was written as if it was a theory and that not all things can be explained,god only knows the truth,etc.Kinda ripped off those kids education even though those particular things are undeniable when it comes to the facts and proof.And kinda speaks for thier lack of faith also,if they DO have faith in god's "work",then what the hells the problem with letting people use thier brains if god gave it to them??

But yeah,anyways if they choose to believe in a religion or whatever so long as they don't bug me about what I think and "know" which DOES come from science with proof and therefore "truth",im fine with it.

Q-Bone, that's like what I've been talking about; I don't fear god; I don't know how to interpret him; I cannot fear what I don't understand; fear of the dark is ignorace, and I LIVE SOLELY TO OVERCOME THAT IGNORANCE; all we have are our earthly rescources such as the bible, religious sects crafted by mankind, and nothing more than faith; but is faith ALONE strong enough to confirm the validation/existence of god?....I've been told to believe, but now, it is my choice; (der, stupid VE, regardless of anyones feelings it's my choice; I'm an idiot at times, 😢) ya know what I want is truth; what REALLY EXISTS, what's really out there; I've had this feeling god exists soley on our faith in him....what if we stopped believing.....I don't know what path to take if I cannot asscess their meanings, or values abstractly, or realistically.....I want to believe yet what of me has god in me to believe he is there in times of crisis or desperation?....I get confused here; and, here I am left; believe what I'm told, and be a 'good boy' or go search for the answer myself.....I'd prefer the search than just submising to someone's point of view for at least then I'd gain some knowledge of my own strengths/values and learn FIRST HAND THAT HE EXISTS...I've written/writting stories about how my faith in him had inspired a change in the world as I was a 'contact of jerusalem' or a human that could contact god's consciousness...the writings are all just the offspring of my deep wondering, and wandering for a home...
