If I think you're a jerk.. shouldn't I just say so?
I can, but what has that solved?

When does an exchange move from.... sharing ideas.. to just a few people vomitting their thoughts onto a message board?

For some, the mind is busy place- and I think people should do more than just say whateverthehell is on it. The words we chose to communicate should do just that: c o m m u n i c a t e ... not just excite the masses and enrage the few. I mean if the idea is conversation- then why slap people around with your words? Or even worse.. slap and not expect to get slapped back?

Is it possible for people to ask questions.. discuss their beliefs and disagree with a point of view with some level of diplomacy? Or is diplomacy another word for "beating around the bush.." or "sugar coating"? If so, then I say this, "Sometimes a hard pill deserves a layer of sugar so it can be swallowed and digested."

To me, I think part of the reason why people just want to "speak their minds" without any fore-thought.. is that it's so easy to burp out a nasty name, rather than discuss the REAL feeling behind the issue.

But at the end of it.. who am I to say what it is and what it ain't..?
Just a thought...

I would say that the problem is not your fault. I think the reasons that forced you wish to call him/her jerk is real problems. After all if we are here just to communicate then why you need to call someone jerk? Let me answer it to you: You think that he is jerk because he is really a jerk and don't follow the "clean of offence" rules.

At the end, I think calling him jerk is a good idea. Because this will discharge your mind and free more space for further ideas to be written on that space.

"Sometimes a hard pill deserves a layer of sugar so it can be swallowed and digested."

I agree with that, I also believe that a hard pill deserves spice if that's what's needed, or a sour reminder if that's what's needed, or a hint of vitamin for nourishment if that's what's needed, or a drop of liquor if that's what the party needs lol; the way I see it, it's about Understanding your own message in relation to your Listeners and then Balancing the way that the message (or pill) is fed to them.

The Divine Messengers of Mercury (Gemini and Virgo) actually know a lot about 'Balancing' the message!

From what I've seen, Gemini teaches us about how to be Creative and even Poetic about word choice, tone, vocal inflections, body language, and timing of humor, etc, they really can Communicate with Anyone and don't even realize it! And Virgo seems to be able to articulate anything because, Zodiac Legend has it that Virgo's gift is Purity of Thought, this way Virgo will always feed you the Pure Truth (nothing but the facts) - and if they ever sense the fact that they won't be received well sometimes, they just stay quiet, reserved, and maybe even too shy to speak honestly - that's what I see all the time! Thus, I believe that Creativity and Purity are two key aspects of Tried-and-True Communication.

Remember, Community holds Communication in high regard! (Aquarius exalts to the Planet Mercury - in astrological terms)

So Open Communication is a must, but without shyness.
And Creative Communication is the 'icing on the cake', but no need for the compulsive and poetic chattering that has no real meaning.
The Balance seems to result to Pure Communication of the Soul plus neccessary Creativity to offer the sugar, spice, or everything nice that the hard pill needs to be fed with (and all pure pills may be a little hard to swallow haha)

Just a few thoughts for a Very Virgo-like thread lol.
