It appears to me, basing this off of several threads, one of which is my generosity thread ... that Virgos cannot handle the truth about themselves.
It's normal to find a Virgo speaking highly of themselves with much pride about being upholders of the truth, and detesting liars ... but, then lie themselves and to themselves, while creating excessive drama when the truth is presented to them .... which I can only presume the reason being is to attempt to deflect this truth about them away, no nobody will notice that they actually cannot handle the truth about themselves.
Which also brings to mind another thing .. drama. They will proclaim vehemently, in many cases, to hate drama ... but, then be the ones who create it .. and usually because of what was said above.

Where is she? Who starts a thread then doesnt come back to respond..waiting in the merky depths like a shark...ready to make her grand entrance, when the set up is so, that she cant loose...if that moment doesnt come, she will send in one of her stepford members to triumph...usually when u least expect it.

It's true.
Though, it can be circumvented if the truth is presented in a humble, non assuming way.
Posted by P-Angel
Do you hold yourself accountible for this humble, non assuming way when you are speaking a truth to another?
Or does it come out taking the tone of a critcal, accusing nature?
Posted by Let*It*Be
Your on your own hun...sorry. lol
Posted by Cajunspirit
It takes a conscious effort to assert it in the humble non assuming way.
However, there will be times when we we are upset or tired, and it comes out critical.

Ok, so .... since it is recognized that it also comes in forms that aren't desirable, at those times, do you still see where the finger is pointing, or are you looking the pointing finger?

SG20: @Twhy is she a favorite on your list?
Because when P-Angel is not bashing and/or stirring up shit, she actually has some interesting and relevant points of view...

5. Pisser may occassionally have something insightful to say, but even a broken clock is right twice a day. Nevertheless, that's not the clock I want to time my life by.click to expand

Cajun, you can't seriously be trying to have a sane conversation with "She who shall not be named".
Posted by GemsRaGalsBestPal
Awwww baby, I'm just making an observation of concern about your observations of concern about my observations and concerns about Pisser's observations and concerns. Let's all discuss shall we? It's obvious you want to be just as much a part of this ridiculousity by making a response about not responding. Passive agressiveness at it's best. Now who doesn't give a rat's ass?
Listen, try not to respond. I'm just stirring shit up anyway... AND... I'm woman enough to admit that I'm only doing it for my own fun. In the open. No screen shot from TyDyed needed.
Wanna debate about nothing all day, but go ahead and in the beginning state that we don't care? All the best debates end that way anyway... pages and pages of ranting and raving and swaying and attempting to conform... all to later post about how we don't care.
I'll just go ahead and tell you now... I don't care. I'm siting in my hotel room, on yet another business trip, listening to clients talk about boring shit all while playing on DXP, facebook and twitter. You wanna be my bright shiny thing on dxp for a couple hours?
Go right ahead.

Well after all these years P...you still have it to bring such bitter and angry emotions to these boards lol. There must be an award for that.
Posted by Cajunspirit
I do see where the finger is pointing, but that is where instinct steps in.
Anger takes over and that's when Virgos lash out. Like a defensive mechanism.
It is only later when I calmed down and go back to analyse what was said can we start piecing things together.
The mature acknowledge, learn, apologise if they lashed out and move forward.
The ignorant ignore and persist.

I've only met a few people in this world who can admit they are wrong and apologize. I am one of those people.
Are you?

We?
If you lash out at someone because a defensive mechanism made you angry .. isn't it your job to fit the pieces?
Most people don't apologize ... I've only met a few people in this world who can admit they are wrong and apologize. I am one of those people.

I'm not sure where the anger part comes in to play. Do you mean angry because the truth exists? Or angry because someone other than yourself notices it? Or angry because .. what?
Why anger, to even make a person lash out in this defensive mechanism?click to expand

Life is about learning our faults and fighting off our instincts, to be better people and not give into our selfishness and insecurities, in my point of view.
Posted by P-Angel
I don't agree with the fighting off the instincts part, however, I get what you mean since these instincts make you want to express anger. I find myself completely opposite to that in that I don't get angry hardly at all, and have to force myself to get mad, when needed.
To be better people and not give in to selfishness and insecurities is a big one to learn in life ... so since we are talking about facing the truth of ones self, wouldn't it be better to own these, rather than not?
Maybe the whole reason why people cannot handle the truth is because they think that to face them is to be them.
It's possible to look at if you are selfish or insecure, for this very growth, without having to be those things.click to expand

What I meant was .... if a person faced a part of themselves, the truth about themselves on a a particular trait .. then they might feel like they HAVE to be that.
It isn't a requirement that you be any way what so ever, just because a part of the truth about you is that you like men.
Posted by P-Angel
Like, hypothetically, what if you were struggling to with your sexuality ...
In that scenario, just because you like men, doesn't mean you HAVE to be anything of the sort. It isn't a requirement that you be any way what so ever, just because a part of the truth about you is that you like men.
