Virgo Centric

Back before we knew each other better, every time my Scorp would get upset, I would assume I'd said / done / not done something to make her that way.

One day, exasperated with me asking her, "What'd I do?" she informed me, "Everything doesn't involve you - you're not the center of everything."

Since then, she's gotten great at telling me when It's Me, and when It's Not Me... but, this left me wondering: Are Virgos egocentric? Do we really think that everything revolves around us? Is our professed "service" and concern for others just a cover for something more selfish?

everyone is egocentric. seriously. the older i get, the more i believe this. well, not everyone, but most ppl.

thinking about the ppl i know, the most egocentric are aries, taurus, virgo, scorpio, and pisces

Whenever something goes wrong anywhere that I am closely related I always wonder where I come in to the story. I usually am not far though lol. No idea Dyar, but good to know I'm not the only Virgo wondering where my name comes into drama/trauma/karma

Christina1424: Virgo's can control how well they work, how well they do their jobs, and how well they live their lives. However they can not control how someone else feels about them.

So... Do you see our motivation as selfish? Is the desire to control egocentric?

IMHO, it is more of a defense mechanism. Not necessarily neurotic, even though it sometimes appears that way...

Why don't you tell us your inner motive....

My Scorp always makes me question my feelings - dammit! - because she knows I can't reason my way out of them...

Did you honestly care about what was really bothering her?

I care about her emotional state - even if I'm not the cause of it. She would tell y'all that I'm egocentric for assuming a priori that I am the cause of her emotional state...

I honestly don't know.
