This weekend my partner & I went on a road trip to buy our pony a new cart & harness. But tragedy of tragedies, he died while we were on our way home. Could have been a few diff causes, but the end result is that he's gone and we're heartbroken.

I messaged my friend about it & to tell him I may not feel like visiting when we'd planned to. He replied very compassionately, having gone through something similar when he ran over one of his own kitties a couple years ago.

I did end up visiting him, just because I needed to get some space and feel normal for a few minutes. It was nice to get a big hug, then sit down to talk a little about missing my pony, but mostly about one of our usual deep intricate conversational topics. Sure took my mind of feeling bad for a while. Not sure if he expected me to be more emotional or not, but it helped to spend some time with a less-demonstrative person. My partner is as sad as I am, and we kept getting each other all worked up. She chatted with some of her friends while I was gone, and it was a good head space.

Anyway, I had a feeling my virguy friend would be just the help for such a sad time. I bet most of you virgos are the same way when friends have something go wrong like this. Calm, compassionate, helpful, without being cold or un-caring.

Oh gosh, sc, for a moment there, I thought I read that it was your Virguy friend that died. Sheesh, that nearly made my heart skip a beat.

As for Virgos showing calm, compassion and care in situations like this, absolutely! Don't believe all the hype. We're not REALLY robots you know. 😉 Underneath it all, we do have blood running through our veins just like anyone else. When it comes to being there for a friend in a situation like yours, harsh, cold, and indifferent exterior vanishes almost instantly and we unselfishly give you the support that you need. At least, this has always been the case for me.

my flippin heart sank for a minute. i felt AWFUL.

It's awful enough losing my little pony man 😢

I've seen my vgf get up and leave the room when people get too emotional. It was comforting to have him just understand what I was feeling without any drama. I save my emotional displays for when I'm alone, but sometimes I just want to rest my head on someone's shoulder and absorb some comfort. For all people say virgos aren't emotional, it's not true. Virgos just use a lot of tactics to protect their emotional selves because taking a hit there is so damaging. A lot like us cancer types.
