This morning the virgo man I dating sends me this " I had a dream...like Dr. King/And in this dream/I was a dolphin swimming in your ocean/What could that possibly mean?/ I don't know/ But your ocean was deep/ I'm just saying". What was he trying to say or alluding to...I replied with I enjoyed it and that it made me smile. Are you virgo men so cerebral that a poem isn't simple for you

Why did you close the conversation with a close-ended statement?

He was clearly inviting rapport. This was your opportunity to show him the depth of your thoughts.

If he had texted me something along those lines (depending on how close I am to him), If I'm very close I would have definitely played along and said something like, "Well, let's just be glad you were a dolphin and not a sperm, in which case you have some explaining to do..."

If we're still in the early stages of talking to each other, I'd say something along the lines of, "Interesting, I had the exact same dream but the only difference was that I was a shark instead of a dolphin. Good thing our dreams didn't merge because you'd be in big trouble, Mr. Dolphin."

Next time you get an invitation to express your wit, play with it. They love a witty/clever banter.

Nebulous_cloud you were right, I think that was what he wanted....I stayed late at work to do homework, reviewed your comment then reviewed his text and what u said made a lot of sense. I don't know how I didn't pick up on that considering sarcastic/witty remarks is me all day everyday
Considering we are in the early stages, I replied late last night with " dear dolphin, these may or may not be uncharted waters for you...be careful, you may enjoy yourself a bit too much. Yours truly, Ocean" followed by another text saying " so I've heard.... I'm just saying" he replied w/ hahahaha!!! .. I like it... too funny!!

That's the single best tip I can give you.

It means he's mesmerized by you and wants to know more. No, a silly comment would turn me off if I wrote something that beautiful to someone and they remarked back with a wisecrack. He's getting deep. He bared himself. We only do that when we are captivated by someone. Hold on to that man.
