Nyx....you are a note-worthy creature lol...I have no personal feeling for mercury; I neither hate, nor like it; I just think that it interferes with the highest mission/goal of Virgo. If Virgo is a Perfectionist, if nothing else (an Idealist that strives/envisions for a centered, whole being) than how could mercury ever have the power to bring that mission to an end? lol, it narrow the focus of our vision/potential and reduces our overall abilities so we WOULD become basically lost for the trees in a forest! Give a life long journey to a sign, but assign it to a planet that's responsible for small-scale stradegy endless analysis!! lol feels quite contrary don't ya think?. The Soul is the only thing that could ever be called a perfect work as it is the center of our being; mind/body/soul. Therefore, there isn't an DIRECT interest in the mundanities of life, as one learns nothing man-made is perfect; it's the IDEAL that we strive toward and come from, not the physical realm. It's just the little things we do that come from the (sometimes harsh) belief/ideal that we have of perfection. But like any other idea/l driven person, isn't that the price you have to occasionally pay?.

I believe that the zodiac was based off of a FUNCTIONAL SYSTEM; not a LOGICAL PATH. A system works so that it can serve order, and the 'look' or physical aspect of things. But we know that the zodiac is created to express the pogression of the human being through different spheres/modes of life, to ultimately become 'enlightened'. I just think Virgo is the sphere of life where we should IDEALLY become aware of things both outside, and inside of ourselves. Through the Ideal/drive of Perfection, and the PHYSICAL FAILURE OF THE PRACTICE OF IT that we will inevitably encounter, we realize what is TRULY PERFECT, and maintain the ideal, but isolate/leave the physical act to that of the spiritual/mental/social elements of life; becuase we've learned perfection is best left to it's lofty form, the ideal instead of losing losing sight of it, and pursuing a physical practice that will result in failure; pefection suits an ideal, not a practiced form. Pefection is the exact opposite of earth; Man is imperfect, PHYSICALLY and in his Earthen practices: but despite the psychological, and spiritual wounds he may encounter, and the pains that may devestate, and buffet him, through these wounds, and the reaching out to others, he may overcome his limitations, and reach his true potentiality. It is out of his pain, and ideals, short-commings, and dreams he can be reborn, and properly aligned/focused. The physical aspect will become a distant memory because he now knows that's not where he was meant to dwell if he in fact wants to acheive full awareness of his destiny. Just my theory.

The goal is to be positively focused and finding the internal satifaction of fullfiling your own personal ideal of perfection and wholeness. Angels are signs of GOOD OMENS not bad ones: But Angels DO fall, and loose their ways in life, but that's not to say it's over for that angel. Through an act of will, and a focused mind can you redeem yourself....'purify' yourself and become reborn. Virgo is the sign of purity and spiritual/consciencious struggle, so it would be logical to asume that there would be a need to seek purifying/positive forces in life, or self-destructive, cold-blooded ruthlessness. In the end, it's your choice, and your destiny, you have the freedom of choice to initiate, and engage your OWN destiny through the Ideal of perfection.
Vulcan the ruler of Virgo......sounds good to me.........Oh Spock is hot (I had a childhood crush in him and still do and Darth Vader)
Well, I have heard of Vulcan and Chiron.......I have seen websites stating that one of these should be the ruler of Virgo....cause they embody more of the traits of a Virgo......than Mercury........but who knows when that will happen.....and Apollo as the ruler of Taurus sounds good too!
