What a VirGuy Wants versus What a VirGuy Needs
Even though we Virgo Men are great analyzers, we often fail to see the distinctions between what we want and what we need. So, here are some lessons from my own School of Hard Knocks...
1. VirGuy wants a woman who understands him, but VirGuy needs a woman who inspires him.
2. VirGuy wants a calm, quiet, contented life, but VirGuy needs a life that's challenging - though not overwhelming!
3. VirGuy wants to serve the ones he loves, but VirGuy needs to help himself, too.
4. VirGuy wants to work quietly in the background, but VirGuy needs to step up to the plate when the team is leader-less.
5. VirGuy wants to plan everything, but VirGuy needs to avoid his own traps.
6. VirGuy wants the Perfect Lover, but VirGuy needs True Love.
7. VirGuy wants complete knowledge, but VirGuy needs wisdom.
8. VirGuy wants to criticize, but VirGuy needs to appreciate.
9. VirGuy wants to impose his own standards, but VirGuy needs to accept the contributions of others.
10. VirGuy wants to be romantic, but VirGuy needs to be passionate and expressive.
Thanks DY..
Couldn??t have said any better.

4. VirGuy wants to work quietly in the background
Ancient and ultimate wisdom??_ keep it low profile..!
smile

Thanks, y'all!
#9 has been a tough lesson for me, because it's in my nature to pick apart my own ideas & the ideas of others. As a manager, I've learned that no one likes a know-it-all boss, and that squelching the ideas of subordinates kills initiative and hurts the team...
great list! i can see this in every Virguy I know...hopefully they'll get to the point of your self-awareness.
very nice, dy. although, imo, this list applies to a lot of men and not necessarily just virgos.
Actually, Wheels .. it describs most people, in general.

We all, male and female ..
1. Think we want a person who understands us, when really we really need a person who inspires us, moves us, motivates us into being all that we can be.
2. Think we want a completely controlled, even, balanced life of harmony, where no boats are ever rocked, so that we can only have peace to enjoy our lives ... we all think we want that ... when really, we need diversity .. without it, there is no growth .. not in ourselves, not in the relationship. And the only way to get this diversity within a relationship where a tone has been set to remain a constant is by tipping the scales = challenging the other to be more, to do more, to achieve higher.
3. We all want to cater, to make impressions to serve this love to the other. Just look at all the women in here who leave themselves looking desperate for a man .. she is rushing to his side, CHASING these men, giving them whatever they want just for the sole purpose of serving the men so the men will want to think them worthy of being loved .... when in reality, the only thing these women need to do is help herself, by knowing she has a right to be loved for herself and not just for reasons he thinks is worthy.
4. 5. 6. all of them

These are awareness that all of us need to gain .... without being a real person then we are all fakers .... and the only way to be real is by understanding that as long as we have to live our lives, we learn, grow.

Wheels: very nice, dy. although, imo, this list applies to a lot of men and not necessarily just virgos.
Okay... Let me make them even more Virgo...
1. VirGuy's mistrust (and fear) of emotions compels him to choose the wrong women.
2. VirGuy is much more of a loner than the average guy. (Lots of folks couldn't believe I moved WAY OUT to the country!)
3. Astrologers write (and I've seen) that of all the Signs, VirGuy is most geared towards service.
4. VirGuy is less likely to sound his own horn than the average guy. How many VirGuy braggarts do you know?
5. Very few men from other Signs plan their days the way VirGuy does.
6. Because of #1, VirGuy uses the wrong criteria in assessing Love - it defies his spreadsheet!
7. VirGuy will mistake his mountain of facts for a molehill of insight.
8. EVERYBODY knows this is true about VirGuys - we are the nit-pickers of the Zodiac!
9. I've seen this with just about every VirGuy I know.
10. Not just my opinion, the astrologers agree that VirGuy has an old-fashioned approach to courtship, but can flounder from too much reserve. (The list of women who've given up on VirGuys is very long indeed!)
Sure, guys from other Signs can have one or more of the above, but it's the frequency of common tendencies that differentiates one Sign from another... otherwise, what would we have to write about??
Now those ^^^ seem to be more Virgoishly prone.
3. VirGuy wants to serve the ones he loves, but VirGuy needs to help himself, too.
Agreed! My ex would do so much for people but he will leave himself undone ...
However, he would expect alot emotionally because he gave so much in a material sense.
Out of all the Virgos I've known, he is by far the only Virgo who said material items meant nothing to him. He likes money but only what he felt he needed.

This is a good list DY. Very insightful

True, vgm, but in my case, The One found me more often than I found her - ditto for my Virgo Dad.
Maybe we need to work on our hunting skills??
Hi Strings Big Grin Where have you been?
What about Virgo rising? I'm seeing someone who I'm pretty sure will turn out to be Virgo rising - can't NOT be! lol
Anyway, is there anyuone here who feels even more Virgoan cos of their Ascendant? I'm a heady mix of Virgo and Scorp rising, which has always been a major part of me - so I'm guessing a VirgAscGuy might be even MORE of all these things..?

Strings: Lots going on in personal life and wrapped up in other stuff for a while.
Virgic Translation: She misplaced her bookmark to DXP.
Fantastic contribution.
Dy, this is awesome. I see so much of this in the Virgo who I am dating. Thanks for sharing!
now with the correct spelling:
"2. VirGuy wants a calm, quiet, contented life, but VirGuy needs a life that's challenging - though not overwhelming!"
thus a wife and two girl friends are enough for him? not overwhelming I guess.
then I hope h'll find a third woman cause I passed.
Interesting post. Number one appeals to me. Since my virguy, told me that I inspire and challange him in ways no other woman has. He meant that in all aspects. Also, they want to be romantic but need to be passionate too is true. But, virgos unlike scorpios have a latent passion that slowly burns. Almost like a quiet storm.
interesting term, virguy/virgal....
i'd like a virgal or a capgirl or taurgal for a change - always had water element girls
maybe us virgo want someone to relate with
