When I look at Virgos.. They all seem miserable and never happy enough - that's me!! Am I doomed?
No you are miserable but not doomed, I am quite happy that I am born as Virgo?it's an honour?.
If you feel otherwise then, you should check your mental health ASAP.
Your miserable personality (ies) has nothing to do with being VIRGO..!

keep in mind MIA that people do have feelings: Rather than just going up to someone (regardless of age)if someone should step on your 'sweet spot' you'd probably be bawling too: part of being critical is the ability to home-in on someone's weaknesses now if someone we're to exploit them how do you think you'd fair?....some people tend to forget that they too are apart of the human race and think they are without weakness.....that is apart of being human, but weakness is also a choice....no one ever has to continue to be weak especially if they've already gained awareness and insight into their own problems and that which they lack.
Lanfearinc....my advice to you is to realize that some signs are held in higher regard becuase they 'appear' to seem more than what they actually are, you'll find out who really has strength and who lacks it in REALITY not on a peice of paper or a website.... in short the zodiac is a popularity contest and we just happened to get the shorter end of the stick as far as symbology and character traits go....it just so happens that Virgo isn't really a bad sign at all if you know how to work your strengths to your advantage. Your personality is what YOU the INDIVIDUAL makes it out to be....not what someone said you were..... Do your OWN thinking and stop letting others lead you around....take charge of your own mind and start to think your own way....what I think a Virgo is is just as important as what anyone else thinks, if not more than becuase.....well idk, I'm THE VIRGO!!! lol
If I'm suppose to be an Angel than that's F*****g GREAT! Angels are in fact the highest spiritual and rational/mental beings known to our knowledge.....they are what we strive to be at the end of the road, the peak of our evolutionary span....so, what's so bad about that?

thinking in terms of how dissmal something IS or appears to be is a waste of time......you can change it simply by altering your perspective....it's better to be positive than to be negative and unproductive.....you want me to give some strengths about Virgo that aren't recognized?....than I'll tell ya' what.....use that analytical mind to dig deep inside yourself, and tell yourself who you want to be....you mean to tell me you've got the chance to be your own man/woman and you let some website take that away from you? lol c'mon now.....I believe in challenging myself and pushing limits, it's not enough to not be making your presence felt in the world even if it is in a subtle, quiet way.....you've got one life and can do so much with it.....yet you fret becuase somebody said something you don't like? lol when I read that crap for the first time, I damn near had a stroke, but I laughed instead becuase they thought they honestly had me figured out!! lol poor fools......that's humanity for you.....overestimating their knowledge rather than pushing their limits to expand their minds....

"I often wish I wasnt born a virgo. I hate that I am so critical and that I strive for perfection to the point of running myself down into a depression. Does this have to do with my personality? or because I am a virgo."
Ianfearinc, I'll concur with your assesment of critical, perfectionist attributes for V's. The depression aspect comes into play when you continualy find fault in other people or their lives. This causes a belief that you lack any positive influence upon issues which you ultimately can not improve. A failure to provide? Failure to be of service? Inability to be of assistance? Yeah, thats Virgo {sigh}
Nicely said starfish! But many people go through their whole life and never achieve that. heck, Im 44 and Im still working on it.

>I often wish I wasnt born a virgo.
Heh... I know how tempting it is to think "I wish I was", "I wish I could go back", "I wish I hadn't" etc. You can't any of those. You are what you are. You have to learn to deal with what you are and what you've done. You can't change these things. You CAN alter your thinking somewhat. You CAN alter your behavior somewhat. You CAN be AWARE of your flaws and do your best to overcome them.
>I hate that I am so critical
It's true we Virgos tend to be critical, but sometimes that's a good thing. Being critical is only bad when we "criticize in a negative manner". It's something we have to be aware of and try to avoid. But you can also criticize in a positive way. Think of those whose job it is to critic a movie... sometimes the critic is positive, sometimes negative, but it's necessary and people look for such advice. That's the key. Giving unsolicited critical advice is what gets us in trouble. But if it's our job to be critical, or if someone asks for advice, we excel. We have to learn to keep to ourselves tho, critical thoughts that might hurt others feelings etc... this is tough for us but we can do it. We fail sometimes, but just being aware of our tendency's helps us to control them.
We Virgos tend to be negative. But being aware of that helps us to fight those thoughts and feelings. My mom always used to call me a "sourpuss" when I started being negative. I hated being called that, but it got me to think about that flaw. Now when negative thoughts come into my head, I can think, "why am I being so negative?" "Maybe I'm tired and crabby and need to hit the sack". Being aware of it helps us to be introspective and often times snap ourselves out of it.
>and that I strive for perfection to the point of running myself down into a depression.
In my case, it's often a matter of the type of work I'm doing. If it's something I love, like working on computers, or training horses, I don't get depressed. But if it's remodeling, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc... all stuff I can do, but don't really like... it's easy for me to be so picky that I get depressed. But it only happens when I'm working alone. If I'm with at least one other worker, it's all good. Being a perfectionist means getting the job done the right way.

Sounds very Virgo to me.
>I am looking at others, those ones who I would like to model myself after, and none of them are virgos.
Silly thoughts. You're being negative, LOL. Snap out of it sourpuss. You are what you are. You have to learn how to deal with it. Fact is, so do they. The ones you look up to, have their own shortcomings to deal with.
>When I look at virgos.. They all seem miserable and never happy enough - thats me!!
We struggle because we think so much. Sometimes I think I out-think myself. Like if I just went for it, I'd be happier sometimes instead of weighing all the pros and cons, LOL. No one tho, is ever happy enough. Lot's of people pretend to be, but really aren't. You have to learn over the years what it takes to make you happy. Everyone does from every sign.
Some personal advice to you, read my profile and if anything looks familiar to you, then take this advice. It's advice I'd give myself if it were ever possible to go back in time to when I was a kid... get to know horses. Not only riding them, but taking care of them. Get to know dogs, especially medium to large dogs. They will give you a lot of comfort and companionship over the years. They may even make life bearable for those times you're alone and depressed.

>Am I doomed? Are their any happy virgos out there who are not dis satisfied with every little thing around them?
You can be happy... or at least "mostly content" with your life. You CAN reach a point where you don't feel like you're struggling anymore. It may not be perfect, but it'll do the trick. Like the old song says, "You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you might find, that you'll get what you need". It often takes us, many years tho, to recognize what's important and what's not and what compromises we're willing to make to be happy with our lives. But that's the same for everyone. Every sign. One of my favorite old sayings is "We get too soon old, but too late smart" and it's so true. And it's true for every human.
Since I've become tight with horses and dogs, I've never been happier and I've made better human friends too. Even my love life is looking up, but even if I never marry a great gal, I still have my horses and dogs and I tell ya, it's a hell of a lot better than being alone. And there are a lot of people alone in this world, of every sign.
So seek out a job that you'll enjoy doing, even if the pay isn't great. You'll be happier. Seek out friends who have similar interests. Don't knock yourself out seeking a mate, but get involved in something, a hobby, your pets, something and you'll meet someone along the way. Try to live simply. It's cheaper and with less stress you'll be happier. Be as good a person as you can be, but don't try to be perfect... no one can be, or ever has been. Consider the feelings of others. When someone scratches your back, scratch theirs. Love up your pets. Give them a hug every day. It helps, it really does.
