"Bash reluctantly looked at the camera and said: 'Disruptor-in-chief, Elon Musk, who apparently has adopted the alias - at least he changed his social media handle to Harry Bōlz - tweeted this morning "Democracy in America is being destroyed by judicial coup. An activist judge is not a real judge".' "
U.S. taxpayers have been funding an obscure news agency called Internews Network for years.
Internews is funded heavily by the U.S. government, primarily through USAID. There are 467 grants for Internews totaling a whopping $ 476.4 MILLION on the http://USASpending.gov website.
These massive figures track with Internews' Form 990s, where it discloses tens of millions of dollars in government grants every year.
What is Internews? The organization claims to be an "international nonprofit" that supports "independent media" in emerging democracies and uses media as a tool to reduce conflict.
A government supporting "independent media" is obviously a contradiction in terms so something else must be going on here.
While it is true cutting the cord has a lot to di with it, there is another subtext that will be glossed over, i.e., Comcast telling MSNBC their brand is toxic and is pulling down their "mainstream" news (NBC):
What Comcst is doing is what parent businesses do to prep selling off certain of their units that are deemed unprofitable or no longer part of their core business strategy. There is a Newsnation clip where Bill O'Reiily puts things in much starker terms.
She is engaging in the same cinduct as certain individuals posting on DXP. Might even have her own screen name. But in this case, doing so on national TV has potential consequences, thus the lawyers making her read that statement. She obviously is unapologetic.
