Let me explain it.
Being selfish is not that bad if you want to survive in this world. If you don't satisfy your own needs first, then you cannot be at the 'service' of others. The selfishness of a Leo isn't that bad after all, because Leos have an endless need to give to others at the same time.

i see you leos just the way you described it. we are all responsible only for our own needs, but be honest you guys are best at it. i mean in saving your ass . the issue can come out if your needs clash with someone close to you, and sometimes you won't even think about consequences. right now i have those issues with my leo partner. and i keep telling myself watch and learn, watch and learn...

Absolutely. I'm selfish because I love satisfying my own needs first. But I believe in Karma too. Actually, I fear Karma. So I try to treat people the same way as I myself want to be treated.
My needs may clash with others but there are ways to compromise and make win-win situations. I believe in that too.

just be a good person and dont harm other people. be considerate of others. You dont need to "think" of what karma is gonna do to you, but that just being a considerate person, of other's feelings is nice. However, if they slap you first, it's hard not to slap back.
that's when the fight begins. My mother was telling me today how when she was young, girl bullies used to pick on her, but then she also made friends with other bullies. And that no matter how much time has passed, or generations.....there will always be bullies in life. And there will always be girls who are softer and kinder.

BUT this isn't it.

Even though they got back, our relationship went on & that was the time when i felt that he's afraid to lose me.

He knows that he can do anything he wants, because you'll take him back-- you always do.
In the future:
DO NOT DATE MEN WHO CANNOT BE EXCLUSIVE, if exclusivity is what you want.
Get rid of him, and don't ever, ever let anyone treat you like that, again.
