The house is significant...hopefully this will help?

That's helpful! I don't know their house but I might try to catch on depending on the description so thank you smile

So Mars retrograde is coming up soon and I was curious the effects of this on someone with a Mars rx in their natural chart?

Specifically they're a Taurus Mars rx

Are their Mars heightened or even stagnant?

Disclaimer, very limited experience with retrograde placements. Mine are obscure placements(ChironR Gemini, is a super fun placement😏).

With observing and studying others, limited exposure and testing and questioning to get a clearly understanding of the mechanics.

I have seen the effects on rx mercury being in retrograde clearly for someone. Was actually able to get her ideas and voice her thoughts clearly and directly. She is very good at reading others hidden intentions.

Based on the different theories of what astrology actually represents, retrogrades are lessoned learned and mastered, yet the

expression is restricted by a handicap of some sort. Lol Think hard mode after beating normal difficulty in a game. Greater rewards with greater difficulty is also true here.

During transit retrogrades this restriction is lifted.

The most common theory of the mechanic is you can not receive external gratification from that placement. Say you have Leo Venus retrograde(First hand experience observing this placement), you can not rely on love from others to feel loved in that way. You have to feel that way by yourself for yourself. A 6th sense for other's Venes Leo themes is very possible.

Thank you for some understandable analogies! I figured it's a lot harder for anyone with natal retrograde in their chart - hard mode makes sense!

Well that's funny you talk about mercury retrograde. The person with this natal mars rx in Taurus also has a natal Mercury rx in Sagittarius. It was the most interesting comparison because we talked when it wasn't mercury rx and our communication seems fine, but when that mercury rx period came.... The person like word vomited everything to me. Everything! Criticism, bluntness, many back handed compliments etc.

I like what you said for external gratifications, it sounds like all the natal rx have to have it done their way and pace. When it was mercury rx and their natal Mercury rx was happening, I had to say things according to their way of interpretation - they were very nit picky on my words.

Hence I'm wondering if their natal Mars rx during rx Mars will have them be productive or just even more lazy

That is a very good question.

Especially since MarsR is in Gemini and my ChironR is in Gemini.

I'll quiz my friend who is mercury Gemini R.

I suspect her actions to match her intent. In fact, I would say that is the case.

Normal she does ask she hints at things.

Today she was pretty direct about wanting those candles. I'll watch and see what changes.

Ooo maybe their communication is amplified and more true to their mercury! Not sure if that's different than any other time haha

I have natal Mars retro. Because most of my placements are retro. It actually feels like I might get stuff done this month, if I can be bothered. I've got the willpower not the motivation.

That's helpful to hear! It makes sense that motivation isn't there as much since Mars is "blocked" but good to know it can be done!

As someone stated in another post, it seems like a double negative into a positive? Like the retrograde Mars transition negates the natural retrograde Mars so you'll be "normal"?

Sounds about right. I would say more I don't feel it. With mercury retrograde I didn't have it as bad as some people. Just reconnections and trying to cut other people out.

Niceee! It leveled you out a bit vs having things go awry haha I'll try to see how rx Mars works with their natal Mars rx... Yay for popcorn lol

I’ve one rx in my Chart ~ Mars Taurus In 2nd

Look to the house and the aspects to it ... it can mean repression and things moving slowly in that area of your chart...

I believe it goes rx on Halloween 🎃
Ahh yes it does! Haha I'm curious how it'll affect y'all natal retrogrades in Mars! Like are things going to move even slower for you?! Hmmm...

Me: 05/13

Him: 04/23

If you are still doing this smile
I'm currently talking to one and he's a friend that I like romantically. He takes things so personally (maybe that's his mars cancer) and tries to remain calm on the surface.

He's usually really chill on the outside but imo a frantic mess on the inside.. Inquisitive and critical. Polite usually. Usually introverted.

It would be great to hear from one lol
I think it depends on other signs. I'm with LadyNeptune and going with the idea that he's over it and moving on. But it's true they can change their mind quickly. Probably holding a temporary grudge because it's a pride thing? I'm not sure on male Aries moon, but for myself holding a grudge is a lot of work. I forgive and sometimes forget depending on what had happened.

Your situation sounds like there are a lot of details, which may appear 'petty' seems like he was provoked at times. Hard to tell since we're only hearing your side, but there expectations that are implied and it has built up some resentment.

But typically I find aries and sag moon get over things quickly - I guess mostly the cardinal and mutable signs. Fixed signs.. gl
I'm an aries moon female who is currently interested in a leo moon man with sun in pisces. One of my closest friend is a guy Leo moon with sun cap also another guy with this placement was my ex. I say we get along but yes we tend to want to hog the spot light
I'm a taurus with an aries moon (actually) and gem merc/ven, aqua mars.

First love was my high school sweetheart and he was a gem sun/moon/merc/ven and pisces mars. It was a roller coaster of emotions that lasted for over 4 years (together for nearly that amount of time). Def one of the hardest to break up, but I couldn't take it anymore and it wasn't good for us.

The one that broke my heart and made my life confusing/bringing up old wounds with myself was this scorp sun/venus, pisces moon, sag merc, libra mars. Oof... those were some times and we weren't in a relationship, but things got MESSY.

The one that broke my heart the most... I can't really tell LOL I don't get heartbroken too often? Or I do, but it's not serious like the above.
