Well, I really think the Cap. women makes an incredible housemate. If I were a male I'd seek a Capricorn. I like Cap. men, too... One thing I really respect and appreciate is the loyalty of this lot. If a man is mature/future-oriented or has his Moon or Venus in Capricorn he will be drawn to Cappy ladies. Guys with a boy-mentality will usually be more on the prowl for "one-hit wonders". As Capricorns age they may attract and be attracted to younger people. It really takes a more developed, or thristy soul/mind to have a serious interest in Capricorns. My ex (Venus, Merc, Neptune in Cap) once told me my aunt is one of the most beautiful people he's ever met. She's not necessarily "gorgeous" by most standards - but she is attractive, respectful, and sweet. She also has the "businesslady" appearance. It's a matter of personal preference, you know? It takes a long while for some people to mature... and not everyone takes things as seriously as Cappy does.
Yah no problem! I'm happy to chat with you. & I know it's hard to open up sometimes... I also know about the anxiety that goes along with doing so. I've been smacked around by males a few times in my life.. the last thing I want to see is another lovely gal experience the same thing. Take care! : )
I see Aragorn as an Aqua. His role was to restore humanity and claim throne to bring peace into order. Aquarians are known humanitarians.. friendly to all, sometimes a bit detached, logical, living in the mind. Also, Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) rules change/re-structurizing.
Gandolf... oh my.. this is a tough one. I would think him to be a water sign - Pisces or Scorpio. Considering the power and transformation he goes through -- I lean more toward Scorpio. Without the use of magic I would say Capricorn - he plays the role of teacher/wise one. And yet! I am seeing at least a bit Air influence as he is also a messenger/communicator.. So I could see why Gemini & Aqua were suggested...
Gollum... Sadly, I'd have to say Gemini. The whole devil/angel thing ya know. I pity the fool! I think Legolas is Piscean.
I think one thing that has caused us (humans/society in general) to be commitment-phobes is the availability and suggestion of the usage of contracteptive methods. Since this has been available, it seems we are getting the idea that premarital sex is no longer immoral and moreso it's become something we're seriously indulging in. I'm not saying it's a taboo - or should be shunned - just that it's leading to more of a disconnected society. I believe art imitates life -- television didn't create our society, but it certainly agrees with it and helps to sustain our image of it. We feel supported or comforted by the "ideas" television feeds us. T.V. is not progressive. It seems more static to me. ; )
Aquarians need their freedom -- definatly an innate personal/psychological thing. They value freedom and intellect over emotions. It seems Aquas just don't want to be controlled by emotional commitments. They really don't like to be tied down at all - to anyone or anything. I can understand and relate to this, although I'm a Gemini (with Uranus opposing the Sun). I can be flighty, and tend to be extremely attracted to Aquarians... If I do settle it will most likely be with one of these lovely fellows. With Aqua, go ahead and do all the thinking and dreaming about marriage as you'd like - just don't say a word! =D If not completely pushes one away, it will usually be a "turn off".
Age difference? Nevermind that! It's a matter of preference -- I know some ladies my age would not be interested in an older male... But others may be looking for someone they can learn from. & Someone who they can really respect and trust. I'm 20. I once had a real serious interest in a 38 year old but it wasn't going to work out as we met 2 weeks before he moved across the country. I also questioned the age thing - but we were quite compatible on all levels. I think age is irrelevant. Chances are at the age of 21 she's looking for a more serious partner but who knows? I guess you won't until you dig in, hmm?? Do you talk with her about film? Have you suggested going out for dinner/coffee .. maybe a visit to an art museum, the cinema, or live production? If she's interested she'll bite, unless of course she's very shy/reserved, or involved with another person.
Well good luck! : )
Wow... ya know, I've heard about some painful Saturn return experiences -- and some more positive. My understanding is that my mother was very irresponsible and acting somewhat immaturely throughout her 20s. When she hit 30 life was very painful for her -- she was making suicide attempts, trying to get attention from my father with her drinking and suicidal behaviour but this inevitably failed. They must not have been ready for a divorce but it was clear then, that things weren't going to work out. This is just one example of a type of person who might experience a "Bad" Saturn return. -None should be deemed "bad", anyway. I think Saturn return is about redirecting oneself toward a more healthy & stable sort of life. If a person is making unhealthy choices time sets in as a checkpoint -- "Get real". I think that's why we hear of bad Saturn returns -- because we don't want the fun to end. It is about growing up and stabilizing. If you're feeling more serious you're probably in-tune and doing what's best for you.
I'm about 10 years from my Saturn return - but I'm going through a few Saturn transits at this point and I've been feeling sort of isolated from my peers... doing a 180 now; choosing a life style that is more healthy for me. I used to use drugs to get along; with others my age, to enjoy life and simply wake up in the mornings. Lately I'm not doing the drugs, nor am I seeing my old social group. In a way I feel alone - but I know it's the best thing for me right now. I couldn't make these necessary changes without this "isolation". Life is not as "fun" - but Saturn is at work now and having an understanding of why I feel this way (I do feel like I'm going thru a minor Saturn Return type-thing) helps me to accept these feelings and move on with life.
Basically, if one is not on the "right path" Saturn will come along to show us the way. Our delusions and obstacles are stripped away... One of my favourite lines, "Saturn ascends, choose one or ten, hang on or be humbled again." (Tool)
Take care!
His Sun/Venus midpoint conjuncts Algol -- a "violent" (some say evil) fixed star in constellation Taurus.
Hitler also has a Capricorn moon (moon rules the instinct & intellectual process, capacity/boundaries) which can manifest in a person who wants to control -- in his case, society. A cap moon can make a person more out of touch with emotions with a greater concern for logic and structure. Yet he also had some really off the wall ideas, for one - about Aryans - he believed they were angels that fell from the sky. A little light love and beauty is good for us all. But in the case of Cap moon the imagination is lacking and the logical mind is working to make connections (with a great lack of intuition). Sometimes Capricorn will confuse truth from fiction. Too bad his mind was so outta control.
I hear Aquarian ankles/achilles heel are quite sensitive. I've yet to play around with this one. ;D
Holly.. I think Cap more than other signs are likely to pull away after expressing emotion. I'm a Cap. moon - when I open up I'm more aware of the death of relationships. Psychologically, expressing my love for someone is like walking into a state of impending doom. I haven't been emotionally involved with any Capricorn Sun males - but a few with at least 1/3 of their planets in Capricorn. They are reserved and cautious in love. I've heard so much about Cap. Sun males who freeze up in relationships... I really do think it's a "I'll leave you before you leave me" kind of thing - even if they aren't aware of what they're feeling or what's driving them to do it (fear). It isn't that he's forgotten about you or cares any less. Maybe he just doesn't know what to do. Capricorn isn't any more shallow than the other signs, relatively. I think the human race has evolved to live on more of a shallow level in itself. It is easier for a Cap. individual to thrive in this society because he or she isn't expected to expose the depths of themselves. I can only say so much considering we don't know more of the background - Is this his first emotional display to you? What's going on in his work and/or home/family life? I'm sorry to hear of this - I know it's painful. Know that if it weren't painful for him he would have no problem talking to you.
Well I think it's important that you express yourself to him -- if you're not interested in sex at this time and he brings it up - tell him so. Why not? Life is going to be hell if you don't put this boy in his place. Then again, I'm the kind of girl who is out for the chase. I'm always predator & I want to be in control (funny how I always end up with controlling types). I have a yucky feeling about this guy, capsweetie. Try to open up and tell him he's acting like a wad (with tact, maybe firmness of course). Somebody's got to do it and he may very well respect your words.
Well, what's the problem? Give us the deets.
Not sure if this has been covered... (I'm not about to read through 14 pages of posts!) The sun represents relationship to our father. So, in the case of Aquarius the father was probably emotionally and/or physically distant if not void from the childs life.
