He is learning this little by little and a couple of days ago, we got into a discussion about what we were "title wise". He wants a relationship and I am just not ready.. but the way he treats me is as if I am already in one. He is so sweet! Oh yes, I have been giving him space... It just gets hard sometimes, esp. because he wishes he wasn't going through what he is going through. Well... I have been dating this Aries for 7 months now. I met him through an associate of mine a little over a year ago. At first, I was not interested in him. Well, overtime, him and I start to converse more. We start dating in January, and everything seems amazing... Dinners, outings, playoff games.. you name it! However, one night when we were talking, he mentioned that he and his ex (Leo) broke up the actual day him and I met, and how they were together for three years. Then he would begin telling me how she would contact him, yet he would ignore the calls... He would say that he was "indifferent" to her, yet always seem to have this anger against her. On top of this, he was finding it difficult to find a job, and he was going through a lot financially and socially with his surrounding friends...
But then things began to move too fast and we ended up getting caught up in our infatuations. I ended up meeting his parents 4 months into our relationship, and then I would begin seeing him everyday!!
Eventually after 5 months, he put the breaks on the out of control train, saying that "we should take it slower so we can really enjoy what it happening instead of rushing everything"... Then he mentioned "although I'm over my ex, I still need to make sure I can place the feelings correctly before moving on with you..." and ultimately said, "although i don't want to be with her, i cant be with you either until i know i can be that man 110% that i can be for you.. and right now i'm not there"... He has his moments but for the most part.. but I can still feel the emotional strain and because of this, it causes emotional disconnect within me as well..It sucks because he is such a good man...
So now this leaves me in an awkward position...It's been 7 months, and I am dating an emotionally unavailable man... We still go out, hang with mutual friends, his mother still calls to check on me... My parents are still there for him... but yet... he is emotionally unavailable because of financial issues, his horrible job, and romantic emotional disconnect ...What to do?
What I think it is is a combo of him not being ready and me dealing with new found family issues that are affecting my perceptions on relationships. The break is now teaching me how to be patient. I guess I just feel that even if two ppl are going through things, that they can go through things together...

OMG Nara, are you me? haha like a mirror of me or something, bc your post just now sounded EXACTLY like my thoughts when overlooking this situation... Thats a question that I ask myself constantly.. well not constantly because I have other things to think about aha, but it's something I think about often... I think I'm really just scared to fall for someone like that because the strength of the connection is already like "whoa" you know? So it's out of fear on my part. He has mentioned it, and so has our mutual friends, but I'm just scared... I mean, who knows what will happen by the end of 2008?
But mind you, tiki, the connection started 1 yr before I ended it and started seeing someone else...so the foundation isn't built on the hiding, sneaking or sex that you assumed it was built on. Questions def. should be asked before individuals assume... Him and I had been dating for a year before I ended it because I realized it was too emotionally congested, so I ended it with him and began seeing someene else, which he eventually began to do as well. But in the course of the next two years, we have not been able to let go of each other. So the foundation was based on friendship in H.S (prior to us dating), then another year of dating...
Fall star, if possible, try to use your personal experience for predicting your future, but not others. So many times I see ppl saying "HELL NO IT WON'T LAST" or some other negative thing to say simply because it didn't work with THEM. Mind you, I'm sure you are not my friend who I speak of, so before you go on with your "precise statistical methods" on how 95% of Leo/Scorpio relations never last, take a look at why your experience didn't work for you and use that as something that simply didn't work for you.

Yay for Nara!!! lol, about time someone says they too feel the strong bond between Leos/Scorpios and not the INITIAL spark, because trust me, it's much different when its three years as opposed to 2 months or whatever it was in the other instance.
About you thinking it's 'silly' (if you will) for me to use college as an excuse to be free, I agree to a certain extent. In my opinion, societal views of "true adults" (aka those past 23 years of age) feel as if women should not be free to go enjoy and date around, but instead stay in relationships. With that, I feel by using the "excuse" of my certain state, it appeases any thoughts of immaturity or childishness simply because I am comfortable with where I am and what I'm doing. I do understand what you are saying though because even ppl out of college have a similar mindset to my own.
