Buts its funny this idea about negative people, and that you have to ride them from your life. I don??t really subscribe it. Which also seems prevalent in Christianity, who will tell you to only surround yourself with people who share your beliefs, and reaching out to ???sinners?? only in an attempt to save their mortal soul.
I am someone who celebrates the positive that people bring, and I recognize the negative for what it is, but I don??t exactly embraces or participate in it. The old saying that misery loves company, people will eventually move on, if they're not getting anything they want out of me.
But I think we can build in these behavior incentives into our relationships, and influence each other in a positive way without judging each or pushing our ideas of right and wrong.
Dunno about that, I pretty much agree with him in that sense. I don't 'nourrish' an intense friendship with negative people because I've had some in my life before and it's too much drama, too tiresome and too much work. I don't have the time nor the energy for that anymore, I'd rather spend it on something else, on myself, than on people who you think you can give some positive light to but in the end, they won't ever change. Now I see them from miles away and avoid them as mech as I can. Or I keep in touch with them if they're in the same group of friends but I never get too close or personal with them. I guess everybody evolves in the way they treat their relationships according to their own experiences... One huge bad experience with a very negative friend for me.

I'd rather have a good debate than a sparring match. I like making the other think and listening to someone who does the same to me, maybe have different opinions, but not especially be "against" each other in this - more like thinking "together" about something.

I also tell too much to friends sometimes, and end up regretting it when I realize they didn't want to hear some stuff... Had a fight with a pisces friend about this, and when I realized I talked too much without thinking, I suddenly started to select the right people with whom I knew I could share some stuff without being judged.

I'm actually not too sure what I bring to relationships
There's been many times where things just end and I accept them or what seemingly was so wonderful and they ended it. So for a while I was thinking there's gotta be something wrong with me or I don't bring a lot to the table. All I can say is I feel like I'm being genuine 100% of the time and I give myself whole heartedly.
Recently a lot of those exes have contacted me in some form or another. I think on the other thread I posted that why can't others be truthful because I always had this suspicion that there was something not quite right about me. I needed that closure but never got it. But meh if it counts I can't help but keep on loving.
Some patterns in what my exes say were they thought I was too naive or they didn't feel I was ready or they weren't ready or that I deserved someone better. I can't help but be curious as to if people really feel that way? How can I fix something if they don't tell me what the problem is

Sometimes it's very simple things but they still matter a lot because they're exactly what the other needs. For instance, maybe you're a good listener and they really need that, so even though you feel like it's normal, to them it means the world...It really depends on the partner! I don't give the same thing to the same guy...
