For me, something romantic isn't something expressed with gifts or words. Something romantic is expressed through experiencing a moment together that is enjoyable to both people. Something unplanned and adventurous. A day, a week, or even a weekend together enjoying one another's company and being physically affectionate. I don't know whether it is because I am an Aqua or if it's another reason, but I connect better through nonverbal cues. I still take to heart what is said, but the importance lies in how he looks at me. The way he touches me. And the smile on his face when we are enjoying the moment spent together. Aqua's are known to be cool, detached, and distant but really once you discover us deep down, we are really romantic creatures. We just feel the energy of love in different ways.

Oh yes I prefer the nonverbal cues as well, it might have to do with the fact that they can not be faked. If it's real you can feel it or at least I can. Words could very well be lies.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I see experiences & moments for the big & overall picture, versus just focusing on 1 gift or one place to go to in order for the day to be special. I add everything up & include in everything as a WHOLE that made the gift or the day so special
