Hi all,
As most of you know my story, and there is another thread dedicated to it, this time I would like to concentrate on a more delicate subject - depression. While having been myself engulfed by it some years ago, I can sense it from afar. I knew what worked with me and pulled myself out of it, but I am a Libra, not an Aquarius. I am very interested about how Aquas deal with it, since you are a fixed energy and not so open to "resetting" yourselves, let's say.
The question itself has a practical purpose and I assume you are guessing it correctly (it concerns my Aqua closest friend). If you can share your thoughts (hopefully only those and not unfortunate experiences), I would be very grateful.

Wow, @aquasnoz, I cannot thank you enough for the moving audio you have sent to me! Everything you said is just the way I am sensing him now, and you said, I am not even trying to make him change his mind in any way. Nobody did it with me either, I would have actually been annoyed if someone had tried to. We talk about it when he wants to, otherwise I am really trying to keep him busy and entertained with something different than what he is used to. He might enjoy it in the end and get initiatives by himself. I am trying to be more positive than he is. Checking on him all the time. Making him feel he is not alone into this. But if he doesn't want things to change for the better, there is nothing I can do. He has the key.
Posted by compySorry if I rambled on. I think if anyone is to do it you can. My Leeb friend has this weird ability to slowly open me up. That said though I still keep her at an arms length. Something something, don't want to hurt those close to me something.

Hm well I'm an aries, but my moon is in aquarius. I shut down, shut down my emotions and try to be another person I guess...and I work to avoid or ignore it sometimes, keep myself busy and burn myself out. But once I burn myself out and am stuck there again I try to help people who are depressed to get insight on myself too, and to know I'm helping others out. But at some point it weighs on me...I start trying to be overpositive and change myself as a person and do little personality shifts, and such, but then I realise it doesn't work and I had ignored it so long that when it starts to unfold it's very very dark and strong. Bad bad bad news. Happens in cycles it seems. :/ I get back up when my life is together though
When I am accomplishes i am happy but when I'm accomplished and socially involved I am happiest. That I think is the aries Aqua duo in action.

But no, it's not the case, he's been like this for years, unfortunately. Luckily, we still have a sense of humor and know how to laugh hard. But the problem remains deep within. The good thing is that it is acknowledged for and he can talk about it with someone he finally trusts.

You know that for a fact? Just because Aquanoz feels that way doesn't verify that the person you're dealing with has the same perspective. The only way you will know for sure is if you get the answer directly from the person himself. And right now - you still dont have that.click to expand

you can not help / fix a person. you can only love them EXACTLY AS THEY ARE>
we can only change our behaviour and improve who we are as a person on a daily basis.
it is not your job to try and help or fix him. its his own job. if he wants help he will go seek help.
you want to be his partner not his mother...do you know what i mean...
i'm sure the aqua also has depression too he mentioned it once...
i wanted to ask but its something he will share with me when he's ready. so far he's doing well hiding it in and b his chill happy self. or donate himself to game of thrones , superficial relationships or even hours and hors of video games... all i do is,
may i ask what you get out of that? - he says he has his own issues.. but i leave it as that...
he asked for me to send him a book of his intimacy issues too * avoidant attachment style * i have not done that yet. i will wait until he truly wanna change...

But having as much insight as possible can help in better understanding, that's all! And to make us stop judging other people's behavior.
I am sorry if this thread went in a wrong direction. It is a delicate subject and many people seem to be disturbed by it or misinterpreting my intentions.

i was just watching a video on that and omg....it's so depressing.
you guys can be soooo hard on yourself. i can link you the video if you like. i saw the comments on it and maybe this will help you ALOT. the commentors weren't angry or upset they were more omg it's soooo true!!! and although the video is soooo sad and depressing, maybe you can get out of this by acknowledging and being aware that perfection does not exist.
if you're not a virgo venus, i dont know, maybe there's something in your chart that makes you feel bad?

we were just out to dinner with the Libra sun/libra venus, cousin with Scorpio moon and Scorpio mars along with her boyfriend, and she was revealing to us about her brother who has Pisces venus/ Cancer mars, pisces moon, that likes to "fix people"
and she hated that her brother wanted to "fix" people.
it's so strange that she said that cause he's got Pisces, which is about healing/saving, and their Opposition Virgo is wanting to "FIX"
i thought, to myself that, well she is just concerned. and worried and wants the best for him.
but really, i dont want to voice that out loud to her. It's none of my business and i dont want to give any unsolicitated advice. Not my place.
but my mind was thinking this....

as family members who we love we are always busy bodying around trying to choose for them.
sigh. but well these thoughts NEVER left my lips. but i thought it, cause her brother broke up with that young woman and then off to another young woman who he can "fix".
it's going to be a recurring theme.
edit -- so i think personally it's a CONTROL thing for her, too, to want her brother to choose what SHE likes. and not accepting what he loves and wants, desires.

and she hated that her brother wanted to "fix" people.
it's so strange that she said that cause he's got Pisces, which is about healing/saving, and their Opposition Virgo is wanting to "FIX"
i thought, to myself that, well she is just concerned. and worried and wants the best for him.

As most of you know my story, and there is another thread dedicated to it, this time I would like to concentrate on a more delicate subject - depression. While having been myself engulfed by it some years ago, I can sense it from afar. I knew what worked with me and pulled myself out of it, but I am a Libra, not an Aquarius. I am very interested about how Aquas deal with it, since you are a fixed energy and not so open to "resetting" yourselves, let's say.
The question itself has a practical purpose and I assume you are guessing it correctly (it concerns my Aqua closest friend). If you can share your thoughts (hopefully only those and not unfortunate experiences), I would be very grateful.
i was just watching a video on that and omg....it's so depressing.
i saw the comments on it and maybe this will help you ALOT. the commentors weren't angry or upset they were more omg it's soooo true!!! and although the video is soooo sad and depressing, maybe you can get out of this by acknowledging and being aware that perfection does not exist.
if you're not a virgo venus, i dont know, maybe there's something in your chart that makes you feel bad?

You know that for a fact? Just because Aquanoz feels that way doesn't verify that the person you're dealing with has the same perspective. The only way you will know for sure is if you get the answer directly from the person himself. And right now - you still dont have that.

Of course everyone around here looks for reassurance! Even the ones that respond, since it's a reassurance of their own knowledge/superiority or whatever. Or at least, they attract some attention on themselves, especially when they don't stick to the subject. Well... The world is colorful!
I have high functioning depression, which is why you usually see me here when I'm at my lowest lol when I'm in the real world like I'm at my job or amongst friends I'm all smiles and I seem more grounded than a Taurus but when I get home I turn into the grinch lol and I like to vent and spill hate online....
It's become so interesting in the last year about learning about myself and my depression or whatever it is...
So I'm a very mental person, neurotic, constantly processing......then suddenly something will happen that will spark a negative emotion and that's when my mind will manifest this hell where I am constantly reliving the bad thing over and over and I get deeper and deeper into hell until I can't see the top where I used to be.....at this point I'm vibrating at a very low frequency....and my consciousness is shrouded in darkness.
So what do I do? I rack my mind for things to be grateful for, even if it's small or stupid I think of it and suddenly it's like a ladder rung has appeared at my feet and Slowly I climb back up to where I need to be, and the feeling is mentally like climbing Mount Everest and I cry happy tears, my friends and workmates never know when I'm sad or upset but they have seen me cry and every time it's happy tears because I finished my process lol...
You might think it's stupid but it's the equivelaint of falling to earth and the ground is rushing up to meet you and thinking that if you say "I do believe in fairies" that you'll survive....it really does work.

Another thing I've learnt is to not try to be happy or be upset that your level of happiness is through the roof....happiness is a state of mind and you can't force it to happen or expect to be happy for the rest of your life just be happy to be in a neutral state......this is my new happy place, you achieve it through meditation and it takes you to the neutral state and allows you to conduct and maintain your shit but it wears off so you need to practice mediation and be consistent......
Happiness for me is when I do theatre or drag or anything creative, whenever my ideas are coming into fruition they bring me so much joy, drag is a passion that I have that I live and breathe in between doing shows at the theatre it's my lifeline.......because theatre demands so much from me in all areas of art, whenever a show is finished I nosedive into oblivion quite badly....lots of bad things just seem to happen simultaneously and even clapping my hands and being greatful for things won't help, this is why theatre is so addictive for me, I would just do one show straight after the other and I only just took a break after wicked, the worst part was no one from work understood how I felt. here is the video. i saw it earlier today, and was kind of depressed watching it.
the astrologer youtuber is a Virgo sun, Virgo mercury and he said that he thought that it would be so very bad to have all three, sun, venus and mercury and he is happy he got scorpio instead for passion...
cause Virgo venus just saps the passion out of anything is what he said. it's a looonnnggg video but it's informative.
also, his commentors weren't really angry just more wow, this is so true. i think it will help others, the way he goes about it...which is different.

I have a sun in 8th house. i am a natural healer and a bit of a psychic. people are drawn to me coz i can heal and help them. this is actually my field of work....
though i have allowed it to affect my past relationships. men that need helping most are drawn to me and vice versa.. though now i am putting a massive STOP on that...
i need a man to be whole before i connect with him... i refuse to try to help or heal him..
perhaps my intense soul healing sexuality does the trick.. the rest i leave him do his own own.

my comment is related to this topic... because we come across partners who have their own issues whether that will be depression, bipolar, whatever have you
just by being there and giving love is enough... and show them that

to my thats the greatest gift you can give to another human being...
ironically i feel that sometimes i worsen my depression spells from needing to explore and understand my feelings...if i'm in a good place i am able to detach when i feel it coming on. but if i feel something strongly, i get interested in the depth of the feeling which feels foreign to the rest of my personality, and i want to "swim in it" until i understand where it comes from, by which point i dont realize i have immersed myself even more into the depression.
journaling is important for seeing the condition in front of you and not having to be totally in the throes of it. lets you experience from outside yourself, in a way?
i think i can be indulgent w/my feelings

we can only change our behaviour and improve who we are as a person on a daily basis.
it is not your job to try and help or fix him. its his own job. if he wants help he will go seek help.

we were just out to dinner with the Libra sun/libra venus, cousin with Scorpio moon and Scorpio mars along with her boyfriend, and she was revealing to us about her brother who has Pisces venus/ Cancer mars, pisces moon, that likes to "fix people"
and she hated that her brother wanted to "fix" people.
it's so strange that she said that cause he's got Pisces, which is about healing/saving, and their Opposition Virgo is wanting to "FIX"
i thought, to myself that, well she is just concerned. and worried and wants the best for him.
but really, i dont want to voice that out loud to her. It's none of my business and i dont want to give any unsolicitated advice. Not my place.

though i have allowed it to affect my past relationships. men that need helping most are drawn to me and vice versa.. though now i am putting a massive STOP on that...
i need a man to be whole before i connect with him... i refuse to try to help or heal him..
perhaps my intense soul healing sexuality does the trick.. the rest i leave him do his own own.

Set up a cooking channel on youtube. Or gardening, or making healthy treats.
Maybe share to the world something that is unusual and fun to do,
4) Travel to places.
dont need to go out to expensive places, but maybe use your car and drive somehwere, take a friend or a family member you are comfortable with.
put aside some money for something special to do.

Being aloof helps me not to feel down. When I'm in the beginning of a depression spurt I quickly change direction, do something go somewhere shake my life up before I fall into the abyss of depression lol
