can Aqua have a 12 year old crush on someone?

so, I swore off all Aquas (after my unfortunate 11 year marriage) for a long time now and yesterday I find out from Aqua I know for 12 years, that he always had a major crush on me and now, that I am single, he's not going to let another chance pass him by.
I always knew he liked me somewhat, just never thought that it was that much. I thought we were just good friends. I am so oblivious. Frankly I was with someone for a while, and then with someone else and so was he, yet... there you have it... we will go out. Nothing dramatic, we agreed to just walk... and we will either keep walking, or we will go separate ways and still stay friends.

Why can they be so cold and so detached, yet, keep on wanting someone for so long?

Is he actually serious, or just putting out bait?
I actually believe him, we talked for a while and seems sincere. :/

My hands are bleeding from carrying this torch for you my love. Not sure where i heard this but felt right for this thread. Who says aquas cant love from afar doent know aquas. We are logical and thoughtful so will wait until the time is right. If love as no bounds should it have a time limit?

I may drown him with my cancer venus, scorpio ascending and pisces mars... being a gem helps a bit. we always had a tremendous time if we randomly bumped into each other. he may get suffocated lol. hope he knows what he asked for, but I guess after watching me for 12 years he must, or he would not make a definite move and be so open and honest. it's not that he asked me out. he laid it all out on the table.

now what do I do. I want to try, but I don't want to push him away. and this comes from someone who was married to another aqua for 11 years.

I never knew my aqua husband had any desire to be with me for 5 years. During that time he dated a couple of woman and was even engaged to one at one time. It took him forever to get to know me i suppose.

EvilTurtle you are very romantic and from another one of your posts you clarify the fact that aquas dont actually categorize you as much as they study you and keep their options open.

roamingfree just try not to think about it so much. The fact that he has known you for that long means you are pretty precious to him so you dont have to do much of anything. just be loving and if starts to do those odd things, DONT let it get to you. I never thought my husband had the slightest interest in me but he always keep contact during his engagement to someone else and his other girlfriends. But when we actually started dating, he went through a very flakey faze with me and i did flip out but i was sincere when i told him he was hurting me deeply and i could not tolerate the behavior any more. If we had known each other for less time that would not have held up well.

Im a pisces with a lot of fire and and my merc is in aquarius. and it helped that his venus is in pisces and his ascendant in cancer. Find out what his venus is an maybe you will rest easier.

Just go with it. Friends first is always a good start.

yeah, me too.
Yet, he is so silly excited now lol. good thing is that we have seen each other through up and down, drinking, hango over, tired, grouchy, at our worse and at our best.

Oh we can be stuborn if we get it in our weird little heads to do something we do it. I never been in love with the thought of love. By the time you will know iam in love i know you trust you and respect you. We all ready are great friends with that bound intact. In fact at least in my case love never dies. I love today as deeply as i did twenty years ago. Even though i may never want you in life again that way. Maybe its loyalty but when i say i hope you a great life i mean it.

I agree with what theultra said about the idea of being with someone being better than reality, but at the end of the day we are all people with needs and whatnot, so go for it. What do you have to lose? No use living with could have/would have...take a dive, lady!

And to answer your question...yes it happens. I know i did burn an invisible flame for someone for a couple of years and what kept me from taking the plunge were my own fears of being hurt (again!), trust issues, etc. Eventually (december 2012) i decided to "fuck it" and followed my heart, but sadly we are on a pause again due to my "issues", but who knows...i may press play again once i've cleared my thoughts about me and him. In short, you have to be pretty special to be held in that position for that long and i hope you guys enjoy a special kind of a relationship once you decide which ship to board (relationship or friendship), lol. I'm a fan of air-air couplings, its wonderful...you both just get it!

And dont worry about the water placements thing, if he loves you for real he will be understanding and learn to swim or at least carry a lifeboat, lol. I have a lot of scorp in me and a loaded 8th house and my "undying flame" is all libra with a saving grace being his scorpio moon (and uranus), so all that dont matter too much if the love feeling is felt both ways. Do you see him that way, as a love interest? Aww, now you got me all gushy-wushy with this story, look what you've done?!

well, ok... yes, I do. I always thought he was really good looking, and he is, he's always been super nice to me, and I to him. We always had awesome conversations over pints or not. Just a great guy all around. Yet, I already was with someone who 11 years like him, and well, I don't really want a similar relationship. A mutual friend said, he may be just another so and so and that I should just take it slow. So, I will go for that walk with him and if it seems ok, I may go for another walk, but I can't and will not just jump in like that. Just can't. I don't need another social butterfly who worries more about going out and socializing then spending time with me... :/
so I really don't know. It's a day by day thing, but I think if he had a crush on my for so long, well, I don't think he will risk losing it. I want him to have his life, I need that from him, so I can have mine, yet, I don't want to only see him through revolving doors. I know a couple where they are both Aquas and well, it works fabulously for them. They are very dedicated to each other. So maybe, it can happen. Maybe I just had a very bad experience with my ex.

Lisa, im always open minded, lol...its just that sometimes i like to do 'mind kegels'...clench and unclench the opening. Haha. At the moment im pro-love, for you, me and the entire universe. aww, WC, (and the OP too) I'm praying your 2013 is a more positive one. Year of the Snake is a lucky sign too. Both Dragon & Snake are very lucky symbols /years in Chinese astrology. If not for partnership, at least for PEACE within yourselves. That's the best anyone could ever attain for.

I don't know if it's the fact we can hold on to a crush for so long or knowing to channel that 'love' or whatever you want to classify that bond or feeling as into friendship. Doesn't stop us from connecting with others but when the time's right and we feel we can pursue again, we do it.

Try not to think of it as a crush for 12 years, think of it as you have a definite place in his life and he knows it. I'm starting to think no one can discern between liking someone for them vs liking someone for a potential relationship.

Look up Compassionate Love, it'll give you some answers. I think in some way when Aquas realise what isn't meant to be at the time, they're able to just lock it in some space in time... even if it's 12 years.

Yes. My Aqua Ex and I went to college together. We never dated. I tutored him and exhibited kindness to him. He never forgot it.and 14 years later he contacted me out of the blue. The current Aqua and me attended high school together. We never dated. We had mutual friends though. He remembered me standing up to bullies and be a general Aries busybody. 🙂 He contacted me 20 years after we last saw each other and we have dating for almost 6 months. Take it slow. Let things unfold. 🙂

Well, for someone who was making dinner a d said he will call me soon after, has net yet and that was on Sunday.
I sent him a text yesterday. Nothing elaborate, just hi as how is he. And nothing not a zilch of an answer. :/
I can't stand when guys go all hot and then cold fish. I feel like I'm about to date my ex :/. Or not at all. I'm not going to hold my breath - he's acting like a flake to me. I doubt he can't for 5 min to say anything. Obviously, he's showing me exactly where I stand - end of the line.

When I will see him, and I will, since we live in the same neighborhood - I will be polite, civil, will say hi, but this will be the end of conversation - I have things to do...
