If your an Aquarius, were do you work? I can not seem to find a job I love and keep it. I know life is short, so I don't value work as much as I do life and health. I love to day dream and eat fruit an enjoy being outside. I've worked since I was 14. Was always xcitd about starting a new job, but just for the excitement to wine down and me to dream off, so I'd quit. I like setting my on schedule and working for myself yet. I don't know. So if your an aqua or you know an aqua where do you or they work?
Aquarius here, floating on Aladins carpet, trying to figure out how to an it.

my career involves facilitating learning and growth in people, encouraging them to evolve, empower themselves to make positive life choices, I work mainly with the mass and partner with other organisations for this purpose, the aim is to improve society as a whole, I cant say exactly what or who for.

Im kinda the same way inclined but I managed to find a career in which i can be creative with, challenging to make me want to go back for more, i choose the hours i work as long as do work those hours, I have a boss above me but im a boss too so he leaves me to it and i just go to him to feedback or if i need something, so i have alot of freedom, see within my area of the organisation we have the same principles/culture to what we are trying to encourage in others, so im really lucky, I cant stand any kind of control, my free will taken away.

I was thinking about being a teacher, maybe science and math. The real reason to is the schedule and all the days off. What other jobs gives you that much time off? I think to myself, but I can't seem to come up with an answer. So did you just fall into such a job or was it some sort of trial and error and happened upon it?

I want a bit of job satisfaction though at the same time still being able to be free smile and make my own hours. I was thinking about being a freelance journalist or news achor guy to. I want a career where Im creative and Im creating smile yet career are consuming and I just want to be free. I want to eat fruit, enjoy the sun and read a book. I tried looking for a cougar but nothing lol. I can;t stand any sort of control neitheir. Thats why it;s hard for me to get back into the retail jobs or work for anyone else. I was thinking also about being an author, a book writer of some sort and I could get a few books sold and retire on in a cabin in the country smile

But serious Im trying to find a job thats fits me. Careers I say take to much responsibility and time. But I want something were I create and Im comfortable, and I work on my talents with. if you want to be of any CREATIVE field you need to be "original" in a way, I mean, you need to harnass and IMPROVE your art in a way that it is NOT copied. That's when you can be noticed in any creative field. If you have a fixed mercury or fixed aspects, it helps too to keep you "fixated" on your goals. just saying you want to be in a creative field means nothing if your pieces aren't going to produce anything "noticable"....out of ordinary. smile hope that helps.

So rather than be a teacher where thats a more formal position and a curriculum is dictated to you to dictate down to others why dont you look more into informal education, where its more open to creativity and you have the freedom to be as creative as you and your students wish, the learning comes through the conversations you have and the interactions you have with them, its voluntary, for example, you may draw them in by doing something fun like laying on a massive music festival/event BUT you may have a creative idea to educate about something like safe sex or anti social behaviour, drugs or alcohol abuse.. see what i mean? its not an average type of 9/5 job and every day would be a new adventure, you can incorporate your talents and skills, could be indoor stuff, could be outdoor or both, dep

like give us an example of your skills and talents? like what lisbethur said, you can incorporate that into that kind of job, say there were a group of anti social kids on the street and you were arty, they like graffiti, you get the spray cans out, they want to have a go, they come back voluntarily because its fun, they engage, you build relations, they trust you, spill their life issues over time, you challenge their idea`s and prejudices, they could be kids into crime but you challenge their thinking, they get a different idea where youve facilitated growth to make a better choice for themselves, you guide them along their growth journey.. thats how you bring your skills to the table.

Yes these are really good idea`s, I guess it depends what you are like committing to something, for me i struggle with committing to something for too long, I feel trapped after a while, the goal has to be close and in short reach, I had to really push myself through uni because sitting in night after night because I HAD TO did my nut in, samey samey every day bores the shit outa me, its a killer, thats my gemini side and the lack of freedom i have when comitting myself to something feels like im being suffocated even though its my own choice to commit, so i get through any commitment issue by reminding my self "commitment does not mean jail, its a promise to myself and only myself, therefore i dont feel my freedom is taken away and its enforced upon me lol, i think thats the gemini and aqua! ^^ to be honest, as materialistic as it sounds, you have to keep thinking, money money money....and what that'll help us and my family. Money money money. You have to live, you have to eat, and if one wants NICE things, you have to WORK. and it makes working all so much the sweeter. Of course, even a desk job is nice too, and hobbies on the side. smile to keep the mind entertained, like astrology or even book -reading, researching. That kind of thing.

Those well read know that those original thoughts of his aren't so original at all- Abraham said that, I read alot, alot, theres some truth about that. So you can't be original, I'd say. But you can be content within yourself, thats who you are. Things that are created that are not copied are eithier nothing or a great peice of art. Im working on a book though, and it's sort of unique and creative, and Be patient-and busy and improve and study your art- I like that. thankyou
@ellesachae- Im not sure if I like teaching as much as I like the days off- summer breaks and so on. If I were to teach I know I would only affect 25 kids a year or so where if I wrote a book or somehting of the sort I could reach potential and larger crowd. Aqua's the water bearers- I like to give knowledge or share knowledge- yet I Like my solitude, books and yard.
Im very thoughtful and my college teacher said someday your going to be a great writer- Im a good writer, detailed, unqique, eye catching, thoughtful- writing is my skill and being a thoughftul and a critical thinker. I have compassion for those in domestic abuse, viloence, inner city kids because thats sort of how I grew up. I think my next step is to write my book and then I guess find a publisher??
But I struggle with commiment myself- Im very loyal and commitent but if it becomes routine and memory than whats the point, theres no growth but agai just being alive-is a reward to most to because theres so many diseases and sickness out there.

I have to balance work and money- Aqua's are not much materialistic. I could live with jeans and white-t shirt in a small cabin with little, I think I could live out of my backpack- but I don't. I like to think I can- which I probably can- I eat simple and cheap never eat out- don;t buy fancy clothes. A job is suffucating and can hinder our true purpose- "Your have to live, your have to eat, and you have to work" I like that line and yet we need boundaries, or one would be lost" very true yet some could live perfectly fine without it- and some people need it. I could do without.

I've never found a job I loved either, I've tried many different things! Worked for amazing companies as an illustrator and graphic designer to being the bar bitch and cleaning up toilets, truth is whatever I did the job will always be just a job. And right now I'm in between jobs again.
They say it's our nature to rebel against what society dictates as the norm and I can't but somewhat agree to some extent but I don't think aquas quite see it as such. I've been working since I was 14 too and had to be independent so I know too well given how the world is there's not many places where you can live without money. What I realised is for me personally I cannot be stuck in a routine which is why rather than working for a company or a design firm I freelance. I have a wide range of expertise in the design field not limited to just graphics so the range of jobs I get approached for are always different. This continually challenges myself to learn and adapt and that's what I love.
In between I love working at a cafe or a bar because I also love socialising with people. I might hate routine but I still know I need some kind of solid regime to keep me grounded and practical. I don't think I can handle a 9-5 job, I have tried it but I get to the point where I get mentally restricted that it manifests itself physically.
This year I'm trying something completely new. Travelling and working! Like you said life is short, I don't want to accept all there is to life is just working and living and the occasional fun. I want to go out there and see the world.

@aquasnoz see i like to do all that, i like money but i like my freedom also, i try to keep myself and way of living in the "being mode" rather than the "having mode" so luckily i get the best of both worlds, my jub feels like a hobby most of the time because i work for a cause i feel passionate about, interested in, am able to be creative in and have the opportunity to facilitate movement of the mass, theres no limit to expressing my creativity so i love it, along with that through pushing myself through uni (the promise to myself! lol lol) i have a very good salary but work part time flexi hours which i can choose to do how i like within reason throughout my working week which enable me to go do other work or whatever i want to do with that time, i have a generous amount of holiday leave 9 weeks, i never actually use it all.. I found my niche and theres room for lots more when i feel ready smile

Funny thing is I teach a lot of designers in the industry how to do certain things. I always find it funny designers these days have forgotten what it's like to experiment and using their time to develop their own 'place'. They always say I'd make a great teacher lol. I've always thought about it but opt not to because I do get quite emotionally attached in wanting to help others.
I love what you said about raising awareness and being creative in helping others. Awareness to me is the crucible to education and self-fulfillment. I do that regularly just for kicks I guess, design some fliers and what not, leave them all around the city that leads to a discussion forum that I made about a certain topic and I love seeing people start discussing the events etc. People often don't realise they have that sort of power. As for me I like to work anonymously and in the shadows, just not cut out to lead and inspire. But then that's off topic because I don't get paid for it lol.
What you do is admirable and I think makes you an awesome person!

I did indeeeed!... in the end Winking loooool! I`ll go back at some point because i do want to do my PHD ... maybe.. maybe not!.. when im ready to make myself my next promise Tongue massive commitment!..
I love the sound of your creative designer side, i did think of left when i left school put myself through college but didnt finish it, couldnt commit because i was working another job and the times clashed too much. now I encourage others to put their ideas down on publicity, i make sure they are they are using their own creativity and share some of mine if they want it.
