Is Mars/ASC in synastry the one irrefutable sign of physical attraction?

No matter what the aspect is (conjunct/opposition/square), if this shows up in my synastry with someone, the attraction is immediately evident from the Mars person towards the ASC. It feels like this one aspect is the most certain sign of attraction before even Venus/Mars.
so you mean that if their mars sign is the same as my rising sign? or even compatible?
I dunno only ever had one aries women attractive to me who was my first girlfriend. Never had a sagittarius attractive to me. My Mars sagittarius trines my aries rising.

I would say yes... I actually have had this in synastry... constantly humping like you need it in your life, lunch breaks, watching the sun come up, anyplace, anytime... humming with arousal between the two.

Mars is a "malefic planet" that deals with force, power, conflict, aggression, separation and things along those lines. Unless, someone is drawn to that kind of energy then, yes. Attraction and union are Venus' energy. Anyway, it's impossible to dissect these energies that way as if they work in isolation.
Mars is also sex and lust.

Only in modern astrology. In traditional astrology, no. Sex and lust has always been significations of Venus. Mars energy is involved in anything that involves application of intense energy.

Now you're splitt'n hairs.

Of course mars is the application of intense energy. The Ascendant represents the body...

I've been following a circle of legit, traditional astrologers, albeit they are relatively young, on twitter. I'm grateful for their existence as they have been helping to clear out the misconstrued notions about about astrology and topics within it to younger generations, and to the ones who have had enough of modern astrology's bs.

I've studied traditional astrology. Ultimately, astrology is what astrology does.

Just saying that there are different types of astrology, there is modern astrology and there is traditional/classical astrology and within those two there are more divisions. Which one you favor over the other is your call.

It's fine that we disagree about Mars' role on the topic of sex and lust.

You say, "Mars energy is involved in anything that involves application of intense energy." To me, that includes sex and lust.

I added that to indicate that you can apply it to Mars in that regard, but sex and attraction are not in the nature of Mars, as many think, but of Venus. That's all I wanted to say in a nutshell. If you agree with that, then okay. If not, that's okay too.

Yes, I agree with that too. Mars is sex. Venus is love. They are both attraction. The application of synastry adds to the intensity between two people... the degrees/orb, houses, and type of aspect.

Can't look at Mars in a theoretical vacuum.

It is most potent imo when in hard aspect. So the Mars is either opposite, square, or same sign.
