If there is one thing I respect on this planet, it is honesty.
That said, I want to hear it from you (OR ANYONE for that matter) about the distinct differences between good and AWFUL crabs out there.
For example, my former Cancer from several years ago was as ruthless and harsh as they come. But that's alright, because I got over it after a while and am open to dating Cancers again.
On the bright side, my hair stylist is a Cancer and quite possibly one of the sweetest and most thoughtful people I have ever met.
So, be honest people. Are there some really great Crabs out there to balance out these Clawful types?

BTW, I don't intend for this to become a "I hate Cancer" board.
What I want to know is why some Cancers are so delightful, and some are just plain horrible.
With Leos and Crapricorns, I know what I am getting right away. It's like clockwork predicting and knowing what to expect with these folks.
But with Cancer, it could go into either Divine bliss or ice cold madness.
Seriously.
How can a sign have such a polarized group?

I'm the ruthless and harsh type, but i am most definitely humbled by crabs that are sweet at their very core and just overall good people. I feel like I have to protect them because I see their personality reflected in the most inner me that I hide and don't want to get taken advantage of (which has been taken advantage of).

It is true about the polarized class though, isn't it?
I mean, I look at some of the brutal and cold things said by some Cancers, but then I look at what people like Aurora and LunarMaiden say, and I just want to kiss them and snuggle.

LunarMaiden and Aurora would never talk like that toward a man who is trying to court them or ANYONE else for that matter.
Yet, some Cancers just attack and are hurtful.
I don't get it, and I am usually slow to figure it out until it's too late.
Guess I just need to be more guarded when getting to know Crabs.

I've known quite a few cancers and they can be mean as hell to you, especially if you rub them the wrong way, but as sweet and protective as can be when they want to be. They can have the worst tempers (worst than even aries that I've seen, except that they do it differently than Aries). With cancers, you have to inch your way through to them otherwise they might get put off and show either anger or backing off from you. If you sense them backing off from you-never try to force yourself on them-that's when they might show you some biting harshness of whatever kind that they instinctively feel to show.

I guess it depends. Look at it this way: every sign has good and bad qualities. If the bad ones aren't taken a hold of and brought under control then they can become a major part of someone's personality. I've seen this with many signs, some I like and some annoy me to no end and you'll find both kinds in all the signs. People are either more evolved or less evolved and all on different parts of their own journeys. I've also noticed that many who have a lot of bad qualities have some major baggage and hurt in their pasts and don't know how to move past it.
Just curious, but which am I? Ha! the loaded question!!

I personally come as the calm collective Cancer. I am very defensive in the way I show people love which is a test to how they respond. If they show love, sincerity, and heart back I am in. If I sense any remote distrustfulness or negative vibe I am out. I just suppress my walls and I do not open up anymore. I can tell right away if I can build something with that person or if they are not my type. If I deem necessary I will hurt people but it takes a lot for me to hurt someone. I hate that I hold back a lot. But with me either you like me or you are not fond of me.

We honestly mean well it is just tough because we can feel so many emotions and vibes that we need time to process it all. We feel emotions to the core of them. We have to process it. It is tough because I wish I had the ability to move on but emotions are very powerful. Plus I feel like a walking contradiction most of the time. My logic is this way, my emotions are the other way, and my actions are on another level. I just have to let the Sea inside of me flow. If there is a Storm let it rain, if it is calm let be calm, and if there is ice let it be. Being a cardinal sign you have to let the cardinal inside of be. You have to flow like the water within you. Every cardinal sign has to be. For Libras let the air flow, for Aries let the fire burn, for Cappies let the Earth turn, and for Cancers let the Water flow.

Yes. That's what I love about them. I have a cancer moon so it's easy for me to identify with this in some ways. Some of my best friends were cancers. Once they love you, they love you for life too. I just wonder sometimes about their loyalty. I know they are loyal but also they can be fickle too...is that true?

It's not so much that we're fickle but that we sense and intuitively pick up on so much, too much. If we're hurt because we're overly sensitive then we go cold and distant. If we know there's been some betrayal or backstabbing going on then we will cut you out without warning and may or may not give a reason.

I like that most don't get us. Keeps them on their toes and always guessing. Makes even the smug Scorpios have to dance around (don't get me wrong, I adore Scorpios...well, most of them...).

Taurus people are usually teddy bears but not easy to get to know in depth so it makes it ard fr me to understand them but I guess they are okay. Virgos are cool- some can be annoying though. I have a few best friends that are virgos and they can be really cool and then just be jerks out of nowhere lol

She tried that with me too, specifically with a boyfriend I had of three years. Unfortunately for her- I'm too observant for that and plus my boyfriends esp. him liked me too much to fall for her trap. She was very insecure and she couldn't get a boyfriend on her own. The last time I went out with her she had sex with a guy in the parking lot of a bar we were all in. Idk... She did stuff like that for attention.

No, this only applies to those who betray. I'm usually far too willing to give most people some sort of leeway and trust. If I click with someone and they end up in my inner circle and then back stab, that's unforgivable in my book and that's when they get a cold hard shove to the outer regions of "don't exist".

I always feel so sad for their major insecurity. My ex virgo friend had huge issues with that and she was truly pretty and never believed it.

No, ScorpFish, I have a super high sense of justice and fair play. I'm always willing to figure out where miscommunication and misunderstandings went awry, and if they're someone I love and trust then they get even more of that. But betrayal on the order of cold, calculating and brutal is an instant closed book, you're out, drop dead for all I care, it's over. And that comes with a huge dose of looking at past repeat offenses of smaller proportions, etc. It's true that Cancers don't forget. We remember just about everything when it comes to people and relationships.
