Caps don't care about money, they care about status. If they could have status without money, they could care less.

micro-managing is power tripping. i dont think it has anything to do with a taste for status or money. it just means they have no idea what to do with their authority and perhaps lack inter-personal skills.
give me a big house and i'm just gonna want another big house some place exotic.

try as you may, you can't mirco-manage a cap. lol

I'm in a lottery pool and we agreed that the winnings (mega millions) would go to buy land, a lot of land, for animals, homeless (mostly vets), and elderly with no place else to go/ no family. We figure everyone can take care of each other.
I know... I'm a dreamer sometimes.

I love this! smile i have a soft spot for animals, i want to rescue them all!!! lab animals, farm animals. i just can't stand to see the suffering i would love to have millions and have a thousand acres and keep them safe there smile

So is this why I may have a stockpile of cash lol.
Though having debt is something I'm interested in Stoic. To my own experience and knowledge it establishes a healthy credit rating. To the point my Cap sis seems to take advantage of because she's been thousands of dollars in debt for over a decade now but maintains a good rating.
Provided I'm not a Cap by core I do support the thinking. I still have my usual things to pay for that maintain it but I don't think for the life of me I've ever been in debt which is supposedly a miracle when you get to my age.

Debt is dumb!!! However you need some debt to establish a credit rating (for more debt). It's a vicious cycle. Some debt is necessary, but credit card debt is just plain stupid. Small credit card debt paid back monthly builds the credit rating. It's much cheaper in the long run to pay in cash as you go - as you do aquanoz. Cash is king! With cash there are no hidden fees, no interest, no extra charges.

Well that's what I mean, my first property is something worked my ass off for, same with my car. Albeit I don't live in luxury like a mansion or own a porsche but it's always been out of my own pocket without a loan.

what do you do? how do you make enough to pay off property?

i would never want to work for a cap, way too lost in details.

Details make or break the business.
Carelessness in the details creates bigger problems further down the road. Get it right from the beginning so things flow smooth the way they're supposed to.
They try to micromanage me at work. I shock myself at times with how stubborn I can be.
I just smile and nod, but continue to do things the way that I do them. My thing is...and I hate to say this or put this energy out there because I need my job...but they can take it or leave it. If its not working for them then I'll understand if they let me go...no hard feelings.
That breathing down my neck makes the situation worse. I just don't budge and I haven't since I've been there. They've actually called my agency on me saying I didn't seem to have the care or urgency in me to improve. So now I guess they are bothered by my lack of emotion? idk
My Cap friend has issues with it too. We work at the same place and there is a woman there, who is over him, that he cannot stand. She told him a few weeks ago to "make it happen" or something along those lines. Anyway it ticked him off. He asked the girl that sent her over there "Why did you send this pitbull over here?" The Cap has become good friends with a Taurus guy there and the Taurus tells him to just stay calm lol.
In a nutshell...I honestly don't think many of us like people telling us ish.

Damn, I used the word "stuff" three times.

Only us Caps notice things like using the same word more than once. LOL.
Stillwater, mortgage debt on your own residence is about the worst kind of/least productive debt you can have.

I have a cap stellium in the 2nd house (right? 3 planets count as a stellium?) so money is kind of a big deal...
Honestly it's mostly about making my dreams into something tangible. All the stuff in my head I want to see in front of me. Is this some Neptune in the 2nd house stuff going on? I don't know.
There's a lot of lofty stuff in my head...I would need a lot of money.

hmmm Uma Thurman has an Aqua moon like you, but no cap in her at all. Although she has a Taurus stellium in the 9th house. ^_^
y'know she's loving the money!! ohhh well she has planets in the 10th though.

aw well if you read his personal life, even a little on wikipedia, he had bipolar disorder.
In his 31 December 2010 interview for The Sun, Ant also discussed the side effects of medication for his bipolar condition: "In the past I've been a robot. It's been an out-of-body experience. Bipolar means up and down and that's me... Music has always been the best medication. I was on sodium valproate for seven years.... I couldn't get to sleep and I didn't make love for seven years. My hair fell out and I couldn't pick up a book as I couldn't concentrate. I didn't write a song or pick up a guitar in that time ??? and piled on the weight. I might as well have been dead.

but he's never lost his touch/talent. He's still fabulous
< width="560" height="315" ="
y'know its funny cause i never really noticed his "looks" (I mean yeah of course i saw that he aged) but i only saw his "talent" and looked beyond the looks. How weird.
When i read his biography, it's kind of cool too. And his past relationship(s)
some of the stuff today is okay, some are pretty damn good, but the music of the past is so gorgeous.

That's way too simple of an answer, if i wanted that kind of answer, id talk to my father, no i want to know how AQUA accomplished that in details.
meaning how much income was he making, how much did he save, and how much the property was for him to have it paid off without debt.

I know you asked aquasnoz, but I'm guessing he spent his money only on necessities and saved the rest. First of all you have to pay off your current debts and not incrue anymore. Then you spend as little as you can and save until you can pay cash.
For real, though, listen to radio shows like Clark Howard and Dave Ramsey. (Dave Ramsey has his own station on Iheartradio). Ramsy is hardcore, but Howard is more consumer realistic. They have plans for getting out of debt and living debt free. I read Dave Ramsey's book, Total Money Makeover, and it is very inspiring. He has tons of people making $ 30,000 a year and paying off $ 60,000 debt within 3-4 years. Not bragging, but, I've gotten out of about $ 18,000 debt in about 2.5 years. Debt free now except for my house and car. It takes discipline, but it's very liberating.

^ 100% . That is my biggest problem, people telling me what to do.
Suggestions - I'll take
Recommendations - I'll take
Constructive Criticism - I'll take
BUT. DON'T. TELL. ME. WHAT. TO. DO.
If that does happen, the person will get a nice sarcastic remark that will make it quite clear where I stand on micro management.

has anyone read this? I am going to read it, it's old but the knowledge is timeless.

I read it. It begins with a story about Andrew Carnegie - a steel king - so it worth read it. Tongue
@ Clueless:
I don't know if I have the discipline for this, but I read how to own a car debt free.
Save what you can and pay cash for an older model (really ugly older model - its only temporary). No car payment so keep saving for another year and take the older model, sell it and combine your cash, then pay cash for a newer or better older model. Keep doing this until you get a decent car. Then when you have a car that will last for several years, save enough cash until you have enought cash (with the cash from selling the current car) to pay cash for the car you want (like make a car payment to yourself into your savings account). You can get a brand new car for cash, interest free. Financing a car costs you several thousand dollars that you could spend instead of giving it to the car company. Then keep saving that money and every three years you can pay cash for a car.
That $ 1200 debt could be paid off in as little as 3 months, depending what you're willing to do. If you don't buy anything you don't need and don't add any more charges to it, you should be able to pay it off quick. Pay every extra dime you have to debt ( $ 400 a month = paid off in 3 months, $ 125 a month = one year). You have to eat cheap, stop going out, stop buying clothes, etc and you only spend what you have to to survive and the debt will be gone in no time.
Takes a lot of discipline, but once you get where you want to be, you can spend cash you had been spending on interest and have lots of fun stuff.

Just keep plugging away at it. I don't have a majic formula for that. Try to pay more than the minimal payment is all I know on that one. It's the interest that kills ya. Student loans are a bitch, but when you kick Sallie Mae to the curb, it sure feels good.
