The Mer in Mergoat (Page 3)

I asked for account deletion already, because this hasn't been as nice as I would have hoped, but until it goes through, I'm happy to develop on my Mer in Mergoat title.

I like that some Caps seem to understand me on a basic level. Like a very deep current, quiet but undeniably there. We can choose to tap into it or not, too. It's not a taxing and potentially exhausting connection, like say with Scorpios. On the contrary, it's soothing and it's something I derive essentially positive energy from, and strength. What they derive from it, only they can say 🙂! But it's effortless when it happens.


I have wondered if it might just be Caps with water placements, but I've observed it with Caps who don't have major water placements as well. That's why I thought it may just be because of the nature of Capricorn to begin with. Like I said, your symbol is half fish.


The halves where we differ are enriching, rather than at odds with each other, I feel. I know I aspire to have the qualities that you guys do which I lack. I've been hanging out with Caps (like RedCoat 😄) and I can see where it has changed me. They're good changes!


So, that's just my take on things.


Clearly, it's not one size fits all, but that's my personal experience.

With regard to your mergoat question, I'm not entirely certain as to why you find us so generally pleasant. Are you referring only to the sense you get with male mergoats?

Lady fish and gentleman goats have a seemingly well-deserved reputation for getting on quite well with one another. I've only heard that in regard to romantic relationships, but it stands to reason that what works for romance would be similarly positive for a platonic relationship, as well.

What effect do the other earth signs have on you? Water and earth generally go well together, although I think the effect is most pronounced when you look at the entire chart rather than limiting the comparison to the sun sign.

Stoic, I've actually never been in a romantic relationship with a male goat, although it's absolutely happened that I've found them attractive 🙂. But I've had and still have great friendships, with both male and female goats. Normally what happens is that we fall into camaraderie very easily, almost like we already knew each other from before. It's super comfy. I'm anxious whenever I meet new people, but for some reason, there's none of that with most Caps. When I get to know you better, I find you guys to be loyal, which is fundamental to me. There's trust, too. I have trusted a Cap friend with the keys to my apartment before. There's no one else I'd have left them with. And I never worried about it either. I also really enjoy working with Caps! I just enjoy your presence a lot, on several levels. With most other signs, the Pisces in me probably connects to them on one wavelength. Something about being around a Cap makes me feel very complete, I guess: awake mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally.


As for other signs, I tend to get along with Taureans fine. Something about them usually makes me feel very affectionate. However, I don't really feel like there's true understanding between us. Whereas with Caps there's enough in common to get each other and also enough that differs to keep interaction interesting.

I don't know very many Virgos. I will admit to being wary of female Virgos in the workplace, based on a few bad experiences, but that's not necessarily conclusive. Some Virgo guys I find very funny and sweet and gentlemanly. Others I find to be douchebags. I wouldn't say I bond with Virgos, though (despite having a Virgo moon myself).

You're, of course, very right to underline how limiting going by sun sign alone is!!!

I'm Pisces and I've been realizing more and more that, out of all the earth signs and actually, all the other signs, I feel a special affinity with Caps. Rightly or wrongly, I tend to attribute this to your sign's innate connection to the sea. I mean, you do also have a tail.

I've always believed that the water part of Capricorns is their true nature & the untapped potential of what they can truly be. The problem is that they're usually busy doing, like, 20 different things at the same time and juggling their time & energy with so many commitments that they simply don't bother to tap into their water selves.

They're too comfortable being their Earth selves (because the rewards are more tangible and more satisfying...at least temporarily. Eg, they love being promoted because they actually put in the effort) and so they seldom make the effort to explore their water selves. I've only found a couple of Caps who have done so & you really feel this magnetic pull towards these guys. They're both the rugged, outdoors types who seem to commune effortlessly with nature & spirituality.

But, just like you say, all Caps, regardless of how busy or distracted they seem, always seem to have that mysterious "aura" about them. Like they already know something deeper & more spiritual but simply don't choose to tap into it. This is probably also why Caps seem to have similar Pisces-like qualities: they can read people well and are often very good at deducing a person's true motivations. ie, they can see right through you. And you often won't even know it because they'd never reveal it.

Therein lies the pull. You want to dig deeper but it's really hard because of their tendency to keep their feelings shut. Hence, stubborn as a "goat".

I wouldn't say your fish half is your better half necessarily, but as far as I've observed, it's definitely the side many Caps want to repress. However, I've read that Caps become more and more spiritual as time goes by. This is definitely the case for my grandfather 🙂.

Of course.

So, my sink backed up last night...



...as you might imagine, at first I was somewhat concerned...

Aww, little babies.

...as it turns out, there were some spectators already on the scene...



...my initial thought was that they were there to serve as life guards, but they didn't seem particularly concerned...

...it wasn't long before I figured out what they were watching...



...as it turned out, everyone had stopped by to see a surprise performance by Steven Van Kitten!

The crowd was diverse and bit raucous...

There was the odd trouble maker out of the lot...



...and, of course, the inevitable weirdos who didn't quite seem to get into the spirit of things...

All in all, it was a great show. Best of all, everyone cleaned up after themselves!



And now I have to get to work on that sink.
