I'm actually on sort of an Aries break right now. My latest girl has some significant emotional and family issues that absolutely magnify her insecurities and hostility (her Dad is an Aries, too). I know when she becomes hostile toward me, she's really reaching out for compassion, but there's only so much I can take. I said I understand and admire them, but that doesn't mean I have unlimited tolerance.
How does his sound? "I'm so disappointed. This whole time I thought you were going to be my "white knight" but you're a pathetic loser." I know clearly what she's trying to say to me. I've told her how her delivery techniques effect me and kill her message, but she hasn't quite been able to take that to heart. Tomorrow, she will apologize for being mean. Like I said, these tendencies are magnified because of issues she needs to resolve.
She understands that she does it and knows why (fear and insecurity). I understand, too, and I love her to death, but for now, I'm taking care of my self a little. My opening line isn't far from the truth. My attraction is something like a dangerous addiction.
The Aries I dated last year and I have a good relationship to this day. Since we broke up, there has always been continued attraction though, and that's gotten us in trouble. We finally talked in detail about all our feelings for each other, so we can be friends without complications. At least the complications are acknowledged so we can deal with them properly.
Once you stroke an Aries' ego (or anything else for that matter), you better not stop, or the claws come out. It may be safer to do it on a message board, but I think I'll hold off for now :p
