I have been friends with a cancer man for roughly 6 years. He has always had a thing for me. Finally about 6 months ago I have into him and let him into my life emotionally and sexually. We got married (something he really wanted). Now, he constantly avoids me. He will ignore me for days. I will go days without seeing him. Then suddenly he appears. He states he was upset, that he is sorry, that he feels his connection to me in his soul etc etc. I forgive him of course and we agree to work together to fix things and move forward. Then hours/days later the cycle repeats. WHAT IS HAPPENING?! Help me

Why not train them to disarm rather than kill? As far as I understand, in some of these cases, the action taken by the police was very much not necessary. click to expand

I can tell you with all confidence that training isn’t the solution.
I’ve had years of training with many different instructors from different backgrounds and nationalities. They all preach the same thing..........
Always stay in control of the situation by any means necessary. Never, EVER, let your guard down. Trust your gut. Last but not least.........if you pull your gun, better use it. click to expandclick to expand

The system of oppression needs to be changed in order to change the way police interact with poc and civilians in general.

I think you cannot blindly trust someone saying i love you, you have to feel that love and emotion from them. Someone saying i have love for you most probably means it and is sincere. But yes one can mean in love, other can mean have love but not in love. click to expand

For some of those you won't know what you would do until you are in that situation. Most important thing is to try to remain calm. Yes, easier said than done in some situations.
With all those things you mentioned; I could sit and dwell on the bad things and negative outcomes, but in the end what does that do or help, nothing.
I have lost people to random acts of violence, i have lived through violence when younger, i have had near death experiences both when younger and again when i had a bad car accident a few years back. As cliche as it sounds, the main thing i focus on is life and what i can do to bring joy to others and to truly live my life not just exist.
