I live in rural Alaska and he is travel nurse who came up here on assignment. We bonded on the fact that we’re both from Kansas. We were casually dating but I guess you could say a fell for him a bit and it hurt my feelings when he ghosted.
We would see each other when we could and message in between.
The 4 days leading up to his vacation, he stopped talking to me. Literally, not a peep from him up until he came back last week when he apologized to me.
I suppose I could’ve text him first but I’ve read sags like their space, so didn’t want to seem clingy.
If I were to go on vacation, and I’m really into you, I would text while on vacation. ( like I did with the guy I’m dating). Idk it could be there was someone else around too & he was distracted or he was busy and not interested enough.. you would need to make effort to get his attention then.. but if he’s not responding then that’s different.click to expand

for me it always helps to have an end goal in mind and then work towards that goal. if i stop concentrating on what i actually ultimately want then i start having trouble making decisions and confusion quickly descends.
so for example in my career, i am working towards a certain life style ; the hours i want to work and the remuneration i need to put certain plans in motion. so whenever faced with a job offer (i am freelance), i ask myself if taking that role will get further away or closer to my goal. so a job might be very tempting in certain ways (great people to work with or an interesting project) but is it taking me toward or away from working the hours i want and striving to achieve that salary? if it does, then i go for it. if it doesn't and it's just a tempting but ultimately fruitless distraction then i let it go.

I got distracted by smelling the roses along the way. I truly liked the people i worked with ~travelled with them and party with their families

understandable. i'm easily distracted and find temptation very tempting. i've had a number of really great short term opportunities come my way which could have easily derailed me. i had to remind myself where i wanted to be in 5, 10, 15 years and think would those jobs make me take me longer to get to that place where i ultimately wanted to be.
maybe your goal is to smell the roses! nothing wrong in that either.
hopefully we all find the right one! lol I thought it would be worth the work...but scorpios are to secretive im mostly an open book! well as I got older! Good lUck everyone!!!

Yes, Virgos do disappear and act as if nothing happened. However, you shouldn't be concerned about his behaviour but your own. You left and you assumed hw will always be there for you. That huge who of a Leo moon...
He might come back but once you stop chasing him. That could take years though. You disrespected him and now you can only apologize and wait.
Virgos always come back in one way or another. But you have to be calm now and work on yourself and your attitude.
I was chasing him like a dog for months and i guess the more i chased him the more he backed off but whatever thanks for your advice, truth is after we talked again i realized hes a different person, acting different and reckless, i wouldnt want someone like that in my life that would make me worried all of the time.
Either way within those 2 weeks that we talked, he was a pain in the ass and always giving me headaches lol i guess we would just stay better off as friends, but due or history i think not even that would be possible.

I have had shade thrown by various people on a topic i made about a week or so ago. I think there's a number of those types on dxp. There is also some very sweet and positive people too.
I didn't use another word coz I don't know any other word to use... but among the three you mentioned, the closest would be "fake" and "malicious" - that means the term "shady" in this context is a combination of these two and, probably other words I couldn't think of as of the moment.
