Yeah that's something I usually stand by too. It's just that he's already shown signs of being unreliable/flaky and that's why I asked for advice in the first place, because it's a matter of going against my intuition with this boy or not. I've also been with heavily aquarius influenced guys before (one of my ex's were aquarius ascendant and aquarius venus aswell) and that did noooooot end well.
I'm also trying to figure out if our common Gemini moon is something that would bring us closer or something that would make things even harder. So if anyone shares a Gemini moon with a partner I'm all ears!

It's not the same for everyone, that's for sure.
I'd say if you're feeling yourself becoming too familiar with the home life, do things to remind yourself and each other what brought you together in the first place. The stress and situations of everyday life can put a serious dampener on even the most adventurous of couples, so you both need to be proactive & nip it in the bud before it starts or escalates.
If you're both energetic people, then spontaneity should be either #1 or #2 on the list. Change your surroundings every so often, even for a day. Book a hotel outside of town, visit a landmark and stay out overnight. Worked for us yesterday
If you're homebodies, book an activity that you can do indoors. A cooking class or an art session, or even just a martial arts class. Something you can do together. Keep that spark going.
At the same time, you need to remember how to be friends. Too much one-sidedness can be detrimental to the relationship. Like.....too much sex, not enough emotional/mental bonding.
