I know this is the cat forum, but can I just say that dogs are the same? We just don’t see it because we don’t normally see them behaving naturally in their environment.

I have a huge crush on this guy at work, let’s call him Bryan. He is in a higher position than me so we don’t ever work together. Something about him makes me very attracted(I don’t mean physically) to him. Don’t get me wrong - I find him very attractive(I love his smile), I just feel drawn to him. Why him? I honestly don’t know because I don’t really know him that well. Bryan is very reserved guy but through small talk about Netflix I found out that he has a great sense of humor.
I’ve noticed that when I deliberately ignore him(when I feel like I’m not getting attention from him. I’m a Scorpio after all), I see more of him & he’ll initiate more.
A coworker(who I hang out with - Bryan knows that) told me that Bryan brought my name up quite a few times when they were at an office dinner. The next time Bryan and I see each other, I am with a friend leaving the office & we bump into him. They have a conversation, that I have nothing to contribute to, but while they are having a conversation, he looks at me. A lot. I made sure to look at him and smile back. He looked at me so much so that when my friend & I were walking away her jaw was dropped & she said “He wasn’t looking at me!” The next day, with the help of some confidence, I asked if he had my number. I’ve never done that before and it was the most vulnerable I’ve felt in a very long time. It it payed off! He doesn’t initiate texts and that frustrates me because that same friend, who was at the dinner with him, also told me that when they were at lunch, Bryan asked him questions about me. This lunch happened after the dinner & after we exchanged numbers.
To be fair, when I text him, he does engage. However, why ask about me when you have my number?! I ask questions all the time so I feel like I’m making it known that I am open to talking.
Long story short: In my opinion, we have a push-pull thing going on.
What are his motives??
I should note: I’ll never approach him about any of this because I’m a Scorpio.

Sorry, took a while. Past week has been a rollercoaster of me loosing dignity and trying to find last bits of common sense of his acts. Long story short- we broke up. Or.. he broke up with me.
I invited him to an event I waited for for MONTHS!! Took him to dinner before, and there he goes, and I quote "do we have to be here? Im bored, I dont feel like you are smart enough to talk to. All you talk about is b***t." At this point Im completely shocked of how DARE he act like that when I plan the whole day and the next for both of us! I asked him wheher he even wants to go (being completely ready to walk out the rstaurant myself) and all he says"well I have to..." Then I asked him if he is even into me anymore? He asks where the bathroom is and walks out the restaurant. Im like... what. Did. Just. Happen.
I drove back to his home, waited for him for explanation and all he says-" lets quit it. Its not you, its me (reeaaaallyyyy.?.). Lets stay in touch later, we are too emotional to talk right now."
I came home to discover im blocked on w/up.
A couple of days ago I asked himwhy is he so distant, to which he said its all fine, it comes in waves and it will pass.
So.. yeah. My mind is completely aware of this mess and I honestly cannot believe I wasnt the one to end this. Like sadly laughung about myself of this turn of events.
One thing i NEED to understand- WILL he contact me soon or not? I need my answers. Cause I know ill be the one calli g in a week to check up on him.. pls help..?
