Long story short, I have been dating a cap man for 1 year a few days ago. (However we have years of history since elementary school if that matters/ We are 31 and 32). He has taken me out on dates once every like 2-3 months even though I have express that I would like to go on dates twice a month. Also....he hasn't bought me anything or taken me out for Christmas, Birthday, Valentine, and Anniversary. I did go all out for his bday when he mentioned he wanted to be at a hotel by the beach and got him a christmas gift but then I stopped giving and cooking and doing nice things once I realized I wasnt getting treated the same, he didnt take me out or gift me up on holidays/ occasions. I brought it up before that I would like these things because it makes a woman feel appreciated...We made plans to go out last week for our Anniversary but HE didnt message me all day that day we had plan to go out...he never even brought it up after. I understand he just recently got a new place/his first place 3 months ago with his adult nephew so this is the first time he's paying any real bills and his car was in a shop and he recently got back yesterday (No excuses though). But I never seen inside his place ...but he has seen my place 6 days after I got mine this year. Met his sister and mom and nephew but only seen them 1-3 times earlier in the relationship but It was more because they just happened to appear while I was around or they were home (when he was living at home) but not to formally meet them. He doesn't bring me around his family or friends. He brought up to me that his 2 sisters keep bothering him about why he keeping me away from them and how they want to get close to me and I wouldn't mind getting to know them either but he was talking about how he doesn't like people pressuring him to do things and how he knows he has to eventually do these things and that people need to let him do it when he decides and let him lead his life or relationship....something like that...My question is why is he this way and is it cap behavior or something else? Im guessing stop being so giving and I dont often initiate contact just in case he wants out but dont know what to do
