protection would entail that there was some value still left to safeguard (with what's little left of dignity i imagine)... which i think is the most logical thing to do afterwards.

I think there's like 14 confirmed cases in the US.
It's wise to take precautions but the flu is more of a threat worldwide.
The issues is that as far as the know it has a 1 percent mortality rate equaling ten time more deadly than reg flu but the WHo is stating it could possible be more like 3.4 mortality rate so 300 x more deadly so

True, but I also think a person's age and pre-existing medical conditions are a factor. Especially the poor.
The CDC website states "The complete clinical picture with regard to COVID-19 is not fully known".
I realize it's unnerving nonetheless.
