the bad thing is she has a boyfriend and my best friend is her ex who is still in love with her. it's really complicated.

My advice is simple and to the point because she already knows it to be true. She's walking into something uber complicated that she's not going to be able to handle, and she's only going to get herself hurt.

You can vent and ask for advice but I don’t think it’s appropriate to trash talk your partner to your own family and make them turn against them. It should be to a therapist or friend that you’ve had history with and know they won’t spread shit.
Beyond that, don't say anything you wouldn't say to my face and it's fine.
