I've been wanting to read Mein Kampf for a long time, but it's banned in many countries. I'm curious about what went on in the mind of that madman, for him to do what he did.
From what I've heard it really isn't that intetersting and almost a comedy gold.
We had a comedian touring around with reading parts of it and the Nazis that came to protest and threaten his life themselves couldn't help but laugh at some passages which then left them quite confused.click to expand
Posted by PiscesGal76I'm Catholic and pansexual, and I get where you're coming from - but without religious texts, I would never have learned where they went wrong and what they did wrong (the Bible takes bragging to another level, and exposes the weaknesses of Christianity). There are some religious books though that are truly about seeking a higher spiritual plane, e.g. Sufism, which helped produce the writings of Rumi.
Tbh, anything related to religion. I know I'll get bashed for it but it keeps people in a certain regime thats unhealthy for the world. It causes divided minds about sexuality (think adversity towards homosexuality), but also about race, and people think in rights and wrongs while it isnt that black n white. They think in sins while we're hardwired this way. Think lust for example, its normal to have sexual feelings,
I do understand that religion gives a certain stability in people's lives but at the same time, it causes wars aswell and that never should be ok. A lot of things are done in the name of the Lord (in any form of religion) which is indirectly not taking responsibility of your own actions.
And like someone said previously, religion solely isn't responsible for all the wars, divides and strifes that have happened in history. It's the misinterpretation of religion and its misuse by man for personal gain (power, money) that created those things. It is the choices and decisions we make when we read something, that is responsible for human idiocy.

The parking lot was sort empty. The thing was, the kid looked like he was carrying a heavy backpack.

There was a Mom at the playground the other day like that and I remember feeling super weird about it like I should report something but it seemed like it was the norm for them at the same time.
She was sitting on a bench with a friend while her son played and then she and her friend got up and just walked to their car. Never heard her say “ok let’s go” or anything to her son and she only looked back once to see if he was following her. 😩 It was wild. My mommy senses were screaming. I was prepared to take him home with me if she left him. It really looked like she didn’t care if he was coming or not...yet she took him to the playground in the first place so she can’t be that neglectful. Idk it was weird !!
The video seems weird too, but she did look like she kept looking back to make sure he was following her at least 😬

On the surface, her work with the Greenbelt Movement seems laudable.
But apparently there is a mention of a cloud when she received her Nobel regarding an alleged statement regarding the origin of HIV/AIDS.
