Had a similar issue with an earthy guy. Initiate a different topic, sweet or sour, and see if he carries on. If he largely ignores your topics of interest or stories of your life, it’s a huge red flag.
Also, get him to ask you a question towards the end of each of his texts, if he wants to continue the conversation. This is very simple, but highly effective arrangement.

Virgos are better in person. Not so great with text messages. Better to save your more in depth conversations when you see him and leave the day to day stuff to text messages.
My Virgo is the same way. He has gotten better over the years and will flirt more through text during the day but it's like talking to a robot 90% of the time in text. When I see him face to face or talk to him on the phone he is the complete opposite and I can't get him to shut the fuck up half the time. 😂

I believe it is best to initiate....treat someone the way you would like to be treated, and see if he engages or not. Text him good night, call him pet names, tell him you want to give him a call. Oh yeah, he is not that serious when I am shamelessly flirt with him, but thats basically it. No pet names, no daily texts like "good night", nada. He also does not call and I am not sure if I should suggest that.click to expand
