yeah you can....when he pops up in your head, get up and do something, grab a book, make a cake, work out, when he comes into your mind, lovingly look at him and simply turn away as your turning away, you can actually say to him, I am turning away and letting you go and just walk away and do that until you don't have to do it again, YOU HAVE OPTIONS, your not helpless, when you begin to shift your focus you will feel some relief, right now your torturing yourself...STOP IT...you will also notice that all the time wasted thinking about him and you will really feel silly....start being present, meaning stop thinking and start feeling, wipe your brain free and pay attention to whats directly in front of you and throw yourself into it, so if you are with your kids, stop thinking and focus on them and when you find yourself drifting off then you snap your fingers or put a rubber band around your wrist and pop it on your wrist to remind you to stop DAY DREAMING and get back into REALITY
