Posted by AstrobynBecause that's colonizer culture. A lot of those people are colonizers, have been colonized, or benefit from colonizing.
Is it just me that feels like this group gets put down and criticized for everything to do say think, drink or smell.
Or am I Just more sensitive to it because I am a woman, white enough to fit into this group?
I guess I’ve always seen parts of our culture make fun of white people, and maybe that’s normal in a society or system that priorities that group over others.
But I feel like women take a larger brunt of that criticism. Their Uggs, latte’s, candles.
Can someone explain this, expand on it or correct me?

The topic is pretty easy to answer.
Simply, you don’t get to be “rich” without cheating somebody or something it’s an imbalance in the system. Let’s be real here, people who are rich really don’t generate that wealth. The people who work for them do. Rich people exist because of how the fruits of labor are divided.
Nonsense. Create something that a lot of ppl (think they) want and that's affordable and you'll get rich in no time without cheating anyone.
Bezos,Zuckerberg,Steve Jobs, J.K. Rowling..... all rich cuz they provided something we wanted and needed, which again, is what made them rich, and fairly so. What, we suppose to limit how much a person is legally allowed to make and distribute it evenly all across the boards in the name of good ol' socialism?
Explain to me how the fruits of say J.K. Rowling's labor is unfairly and wrongfully divided. Who did she CHEAT by writing something a lot of ppl wanted to read?
Rowling stole her ideas from lots of authors. She has been sued a few times for this. It didn't stick because she is too famous, it would be like suing Disney for Mickey Mouse - also an episode of The Simpsons.
Rowling's books are shit and if someone is over 40 and using a Harry Potter bag then they really need to grow up. Nobody wanted to read Harry Potter or Fifty Shades it was hyped as must read.
Zuckerberg we needed validation for uploading a picture of our dinner, our kids, our holiday villa? Once again it was invented, hyped, but not needed. People are leaving Facebook in their thousands everyday. And the guy is creepy.
Steve Jobs - been accused of stealing ideas. His products were niche up until the iPlayer. Even at the time companies were producing better products at more affordable prices. iTunes is a scam ask Bruce Willis. Apple products are cheap shit made in Chinese factories, their workers probably paid well below a living wage. The prices vastly inflated above their actual value.
Bezos - actually I think this one lies in its convenience. Everything in one place. I think the criticism was towards crushing small bookshops, now it seems to be other businesses.click to expand

Are you sure he murdered her? I can’t find anything in the news.
I just saw two news articles that stated she was the aggressor and was hitting him, while driving (not sure who was driving), and they hit a curb.
“Laundrie says on the video the couple got into a minor scuffle that began when he climbed into the van with dirty feet, and said he didn't want to pursue a domestic violence charge against Petito, who officers decided was the aggressor.”
https://www.npr.org/2021/09/18/1038543489/gabby-petito-brian-laundrie-missing-boyfriend
“ On August 12, in Moab, officers considered charging Petito with domestic violence after she said that she slapped Laundrie during a dispute and hit him again while they were getting pulled over. The officers declined to charge Petito after she told them she had no intention to physically hurt or impair Laundrie. Petito said Laundrie had stopped her from getting into the van earlier by telling her she needed to calm down first.”

I don’t know the details. I am not saying Laundrie is innocent, nor am I defending him. I just think people should try to at least say that they are speculating or claim that it is an opinion, rather than stating it like a fact because you’re doing a disservice to her if she is still alive and can be found. Either way, I hope she is found soon.

Posted by SoulGood point. Thats how capitalism works and thats what gives us our "freedoms" and way of life as we know it. If one follows the corporate way then you cant really blame them. Cause thats what business literally does is funnel money into huge quantities.
It's just human nature. Even at our most primitive some humans with less food and resources envied those who had more then them. I'm sure some lived comfortably in the middle, and paid little attention to either, but the most famined and poor would look at the better off like they put them into that position. Which they do, but also didn't at the same time.
I can see it from both perspectives though. When you have a tool like the internet and can see the turmoil of society and people starving, it's easy to think "Well if billionaires gave even a small percentage away it would help so many people." Which is true, but also that takes away from their businesses and future goals, which would kill jobs and hurt people at the same time. Also if they were forced to give away their earning, or only able to only make a set amount of money then make no more, everyone would just cash out and all the things that make our lives convenient like Amazon wouldn't exist anymore.
The fact eventually all the world's weath will inevitably end up in the hands of small few and how terrifying that actually is can wait for another topic.

But do you think they’re technically good?
From what I've seen yes, but I've not seen one all the way through. I like dramas and gangster films. I think Daniel Radcliffe has really come on as an actor, his acting in the early film is pretty bad.click to expand
