I think the root of all human corruption is negative emotions, so unless AI starts feeling I think we're good.
Unless people program it to destroy.
It might at some point, in a technological way.
The problem is, what stops it from using "logic" to assess threats and remove them? Rampant human procreation has over populated the planet and is effecting the eco system. So, what's the logical solution?

I really don't think humans can create robots that can feel but I would love to live long enough and witness that but not to witness AI destroying people 😭
PS: I don't buy into that the earth is overpopulated thing, I read actually some articles that said the world population is declining and yesterday watched a video of school in Japan closing because there are no kids anymore to teach my mind was blown

I usually can tell around what someone has especially if I've played them before but if you can't, caution needs to exercised. Live to fight another day and if they are bluffing you can catch them for a big pot later in the game. We play every week. Altough I can't make every game due to work, I've finished in the money (top 2) in 10 of the last 15 tournaments. I love it. It's a mind fuck and puts my people reading skills to work. No not quite
Its hard to explain if you don't play poker but there are situations where you are destined to lose. Like if you have 4 aces and I have 4 kings then I am going to lose a lot of money and theres rly no way to avoid it. But then you go down the spectrum to hands where I am "supposed" to lose but if I have enough conviction I could escape it.. and I know those spots and I feel it would be a good time to escape but I have lacked the conviction to do so
Lol I realised I am actually talking about someone in my life that I know is bad for me but I need to let go of now rather than find out the hard way later on
but I guess psychologically it is a sticking pointlike knowing your in a bad relationship but you continue because the investment is high already

I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s really hard to reestablish your connection after they’ve passed on. But dreams are one of those I think! I used to be tormented by reoccurring dreams of loved ones until it was pointed out to me that they were visiting me! Reminding me that they were still with me. Once that clicked in my mind, I rarely dream of them anymore. Of course I smoke weed every day, so I don’t remember my dreams much these days. But I would just be grateful you got to spend time with them in a shared space.

However, if you are not interested in the person, it's acceptable to move to the platonic stage. I notice this is an issue with men typically. If a woman's advance is rejected, she moves on. Not a lot stick around as friends with a man unless you started out that way.

So I'm playing poker and even though I have a rly good hand, I strongly suspect my opponent has an even better one
and I have a lot of experience at poker so my spidey senses are pretty on point a lot of the time
but very annoyingly, I find myself being dragged along to finding out if he really does have that better hand... and yep he does... and by finding out I mean I lost a lot of chips/money rather than bailing out early
So what is this? it's like it takes more will to escape than to go along with it because it requires CONVICTION in your instincts. Sure, you could also put it as trusting your instincts but it's kind of different. I do trust my instincts I just lack conviction to act on them 🤦♂️

The ego wants to do what it wants to do as you always have. It will look for excuses and justifications and rational to justify itself, even like you point of here, end up being super counter productive.
Instincts like you described come from learning about something to the degree
were it operates without actually thinking about.
Like a street fighter who immediately throws the first punch because the guy Infront of him balled his first and his muscles in his arms tensed up to throw one himself. The motions the guy made was only for a instant and the street fighter myself didn't even think about reacting consciously. Instincts kicked in and he acted without thought.
It's not conviction you lack, it's confidence in your own skill level.

I mean sometimes it could be you already made bets and it feels like an investment. If you already placed a considerable amount of money, maybe the thought process is " I guess this is the hill I die on". Choosing to call just feels like a waste.
