Tiki, first and foremost, I have not had sex with this guy, therefore this isn't a FWB situation. Secondly, no, I don't want a relationship. I'm not looking for one, because I've got my life in motion and I don't want anything to set me back. That's what I learned from my last realtionship, and that is why I've decided that it doesn't benefit me to be in a "relationship". That doesn't mean that I shouldn't deny myself sex, because I am a sexual person. Will I have sex with this guy... probably. But I'm not at that stage. We challenge each other and we have learned from each other. So yes, I AM being real with myself.
I've learned from previous situations that I won't put myself out there like I used to. I've already set up a boundary of mine, and that's to not have sex with him until I'm ready. Not rushing into anything. But like I said before, my intention is to create an equal situation where neither him or I get hurt. I owe it to myself to create this. That requires honesty and communication. We're at the beginning stages of that.... I'm not looking to him to make up the boundaries for me, it's the other way around. My emotions are not involved at all. He's free to sleep with other girls or even start a relationship with other girls. Will I be crushed? Yes, but like everything else in my life, I will get over it and move on.
I will wait for a formal invitation of some sort..... I will know when I am ready. It will be a step-by-step process.

thanks to everyone for their input.... we've actually have worked past it. It was strenuous, it was challenging, it was vocal, but events occurred and played out correctly to where we could sit down and talk it out, clarify, understand, and move on. I ended up staying the night at his house.... it's apparent that we are pretty explosive, but something should be said when high emotions run so intensly like that where you physically hate someone in that moment, and then you literally kiss and make-up the next moment......
