sounds like he's playing dumb? how can he not notice you aren't being physically close, especially if you are usually? i couldn't say why he's being avoidant, but you have a right to know, you're living together and there's obviously an issue. the best way to approach it?
maybe try writing a letter if talking isn't going so well...otherwise your home situation is just gonna be tense and awkward, who needs that.

1.Personally I feel that cancerian empathy is too shallow most of the time, they dont relate past the superficial "im sorry about bla bla bla" (*sad face and walks away)
2. Gemini doesnt do empathy. they ask you to "laugh it off, talk it off, shrug it off, deal with it...off"
3. Aries i dont know - from the few I know they'd probably bring up their own problems instead of helping you with yours.
4. Virgo's probably thinking "do I have anything better to do?" if its no then they'll sit there and give you 20 different reasons why you should get over it and how they DID get over it.
5. I find Sagittarians highly empathetic and truly helpful in tough times, if they care they really truly empathize and help you get through with constructive

7. I think Capricorn ties with Sag in the empathy department they really feel what you do and if the connection is strong enough and help you get through tough times unscathed
8. Scorpio is a hit or miss, you better hope your not asking a scorpio who is not too fond of you to empathize with you because they'll either hurt you more or just walk away, on the contrary if this scorp cares he will probably empathize really well
9. Pisces is also up there with caps and sag, they empathize by going through your pain with you, they'd take on your problems if they could
10. Expecting a Libra to empathize is pointless, they dont deal with their own emotions you think they'd deal with yours?
