I first read this minutes after you posted... but I too was confused and therefore couldn't fathom how to answer a non-question. It also seemed to read like you are actually only playing lip-service to being "happy for them" and that under it all was anything but. So I wasn't sure how to proceed. *shrug*
I have second hand experience in something similar, but without the long distance.. my daughter had a really good friend, they were very close. She's a Sag.. with a whole lot of Scorp in her and seems more Scorp than most Scorps.
Anyway, when my Taurus daughter started dating her Virgo boyfriend, the Sag had an emotional implosion like this... Sag was friends with the guy too, and SAID she was happy for them... but she came to resent the time and attention they spent on each other as a couple.. the Sag felt jealous, hurt, excluded, angry that things had changed... but the whole time kept saying how happy she was for them and how perfect they were together, yet subtly trying to drive a wedge between them. Sag was living with HER boyfriend (in fact, almost two years ago, Sag's bf (a Scorp haha) literally threw her out one night with no place to go. Or so he thought. Sag came HERE, but a week later was back with him when his dick move fell disappointingly flat and ineffective!) and saw him all the time -- yet Sag would get pissy if my girl didn't want to break a date with Virgo to hang out when Scorp was working Friday night, and offended if she felt my girl "took too long" to answer a text and would snap, "Oh sure, you were probably talking to HIM, cuz *I* don't matter anymore, I'm nothing to you now!" (A complete exaggeration born of frustration.) It wasn't that Sag wanted to steal Virgo, it wasn't romantic at all.. it was pure jealousy, possessiveness, and resentment of BOTH of her friends. As the trio's relationship dynamic shifted (and the Taurus/Virgo became nucleic) she felt she was "losing" them, and was angry that things had changed. She wanted things to be the way they were, and didn't deal well with her emotions about it.. her attempts to come between them finally became too much, and both of them decided to sever the friendship completely.
