Capbaby, it must be said that men in general have far more difficulty expressing their emotions and inner selves than women. The books abound on the subject and what marriage/couples counselor hasn't brought this to light a million times? The fact that Virgos--by virtue of their private, reserved natures--do not articulate their emotions as ardently, readily, or publicly as, say, Aries and Librans doesn't mean they don't feel, but rather that feelings are not their primary mode of expression nor the articulation of them their forte. We may, in fact, feel very deeply and have great capacity for empathy and emotion . . . it's just a matter of bringing that to the surface and articulating it without feeling stripped naked and utterly denuded for the vulnerability it poses. When someone reacts with bursts of emotion (usually by crying), we may feel at a loss as to what to say to them or just how to remedy the solution b/c we are innately problem-solvers, and that's not something we can solve. If we're uneasy, it's generally only because we feel: (a) inadequate, b/c we can't solve; (b) exposed or "weak," b/c expressing emotions demands our vulnerability and that's not something we like; or (c) disarmed, as the situation places us outside of our innate, primary form of expression--not because we truly have no idea how the person feels and why they're weeping/hurting.
We are intellectually-driven thinkers, so, yes, emotional wherewithal is not as forthcoming as it is in other signs and the expression of it not near as evident (or even natural, for that matter). Emotional agility and ease are not our strong points as far as expressing them freely . . . but this is not to say that we lack them or the ability to compassionately sense another human's plight. P-Angel's whole point is that we can't even feel in the first place and when emotional responses are to be had, we stand there clucking around like aimless geese, jerking our heads every which way but loose with no clue as to how to even comprehend.

I suspect your SO's being a Virgo certainly compounds this issue, but I wonder if his being male doesn't have a good say in it as well, as we women tend to be emotional creatures to begin with. (As a Virgo, my emotions are definitely held in check, but I'm still a woman!

It??s like the Five Love Languages: just because gift-giving isn??t your primary doesn??t mean you never feel the need or human desire for a gift or can??t understand why people give/receive stupid gifts. It just means it??s not what primarily floats your boat or presents as most significant. I certainly don't understand gift-giving as someone's primary--as this seems incomprehensibly materialistic to me--and I personally can't relate to that placement. But I DO understand the need and desire to give and receive gifts and, dangit, ya better git me one on when occasion calls for it! So it is with Virgos and emotions. We may be feeling very deeply for someone and have a genuine understanding of their pain???to the point of personal angst even. It??s just upon expressing those feelings that we tend to flounder. (And even after forcing ourselves to do so, we admittedly feel like we??re attempting a tightrope simply because we??ve abandoned our primary inclination and are grappling with a secondary that doesn??t come so naturally.)

I can see that, but I just wonder how much of this is the real him or if he's fluffing it up to get me in bed. I'm a cautious bull by nature, so I just don't know how to read all of this.

Cancers how did you decide your college major. due to being extremely indecisive, I can not decide on a college major. How did you decide and was able to stick with it.
I made the decision how most Cancer's probably make their career decisions, based on money lol. I chose IT as a profession because it pays well first and foremost...throughout school I changed my mind several times of what I'd eventually end up doing in IT but I ended up in Healthcare IT, specifically software administration. It allows me to be somewhat creative in my job and also gives me something cut and dry to do so I can head home when the day is over without much worry and collect my nice paycheck every 2 weeks lol. I've been doing it 6 years now and I'm glad I made the decisions I did.

I have a Moon tightly conj Pluto, 1 degree. Practically the moon cannot feel any other way than through the Pluto lens.
