Like many of the postings I have read I too stumbled on this site as I did my google search for clues on a new man that has oddly come into my life. It started just like this posting, on-line. A chatroom (go figure)for 30 somethings. We randomly "bumped" into each other and said hello. Our first conversation went from what do you do for work to what do you do outside of work to what do you look like. As our chat continued (nearly 3 hours) I found it scary that I felt he was me, a male version of me! The benefit of the chatroom for what it's worth is that you get the chance to see the inside first. Finally...I had to ask, I couldn't hold it in "when is your birthday ?". Much to my surprise he responded...."I'm a Capricorn". As I saw the type I smiled...I knew it! and I told him so. "How did you know?" he asked...my response "Because I'm a Capricorn too". We exchanged our birthdays and laughed at how as children we struggled during the Chrismas holidays. The next day I thought of him, how odd I thought that I am thinking of this man. I visited the chatroom again that evening and there he was, i knew it, he was thinking of me too. We have spoken only online for the last week but almost every night for hours at a time. We live in the same city, exchanged pics and seem to have a very strong connection and have talked about meeting in person some day. But....and here's the but....the stars are against us...I know this! We share many troublesome traits but also love many of the same things and share some strong values. I have never dated a Capricorn man...never! I think this could be the start of something great and any advise on how to NOT screw things up would be very much appreciated! If you could find me somewhere (looking all hot and what not lol) with allll eyes watching us, wondering who we are and what we're talking about, then that's step one done!
Next step - take me somewhere that's silent, where all of a sudden no one can see us, and that's when you say what you reeeaaally need to say to me. Stand closer than 'normal' too, make me just a lil uncomfortable, and put me under a little pressure, because Scorpios almost find pleasure in being provoked into striking (but ONLY once you've taken me to a quiet place, don't force me to make a move in public or chances are I'll have to kind of brush you aside until your timing is better).

We Capricorns love to be in control, not to be dominant necessarily but to have a full understanding of the situation and to know what will happen (security and comfort). From your story I gather the evening you shared allowed him to be in control of the situation. Every now and then we Capricorns when we feel secure lower our guard and share feelings that are usually kept behind locked doors. But beware, we lock them back up quickly and are easily frightened when you come knocking again or worse yet...try to pick the lock. I too have just met a Capricorn man and am trying to learn myself our differences and similarities. I wish you the best of luck.
