I like Vin man, I'd watch him in just about anything. He's got presence He was good in knockaround guys,I didn't care for A Man Part" though to formulic. Riddick had some kick-ass fight sequences and Vin looked like he could actually do this shit. I heard he's going to make a movie about the life of the ancient Roman general Hannibal. I'd like to see him and the Rock make a flick together

Yes P-Angel we come from the Turn On,TuneIn,Turn Out generation getting high was mind expanding or so we thought. We didn't know the harm this attitude would cause to us and our children and grandchildren later on.

I do agree with Branh, what he said on another thread on this topic - the legalization of Marijuana would be the salvation of our economy (not his words exactly). I can't for the life of me understand why alcohol is legal and weed isn't. Never in my life have I heard of someone getting in a bar fight, driving like a maniac, and not being able to maintain theirselves while stoned.
What was it I heard one time, the explanation of being drunk? Something like: you know your drunk when you have to grasp the ground to keep from falling from the earth.
I've never known, seen someone, or felt that way being high. The complete opposite, actually. The tax money that would result from the legalization would wipe out our deficiet completely - I've no doubts about that. Yet, alcohol is legal. How many people die each year from drunk driving? Drive on weed and you'll have both hands on the wheel, check an intersection 25 times before daring to cross and your car won't exceed 40 miles per hour. There is no physical addiction (of course, there probably would be if it was made legal because the same drug would be put in it that is in cigarettes with the intent of addicting us).
The only problem I can see is the consequences to the lungs, resin is thicker and more dangerous than nicotene, and the anxiety that befalls people after prolonged use. If those could be addressed and the risk lowered, then I don't see a problem. I do however, see a huge problem in people inebriating theirselves to oblivion with booze.

Fishy friend,
I?m sure this happens to all of us - maybe because of sun-sign horoscopes generalize for a period of a month for millions of different people.
For myself I tend to read the horoscope and turn the message vice-versa, i.e. if the scope is suspiciously good I expect the worst and if it?s bad I expect the best. That way all my days turn out to be fairly good and I?m never disappointed - sometimes even pleasantly surprised!
Wonder if anyone else is doing this too?

Branh, to tell you the truth, I don't think our existence really matters. We have evolved intellectually and now have the brain power to question, but it's all for nothing.
If we came from organisms and evolved - then we're just cells with brains. We're just suppose to be goo that got better and bigger.
If we came from God - then we are just his toys to play with so he won't be bored.
For centuries, we've asked ourselves these questions and have found no answers - yet, we can answer and justify just about anything else. Why can't we find an answer? Because there isn't one - we are just cells with a brain that's advanced. People have died, been completely flat lined and come back with no answers because there isn't one.

My mother died within two years of her husband's death, Branh. And in that time period, she lived with me. Normally, or, clinically, I wouldn't be able to say, except I watched her dwindle and saw the emotional distraught. For her, it was because she felt that she couldn't exist happily without him. Yes, he completed her, she believed that he was her soulmate and without him, her life meant nothing. Her will to live subsided with each breath she took until she finally gave up and passed.
During these two years, she had serious medical issues that clinically was the cause of her death. But, I don't believe that to be intirely true. She had these same issues while he was alive - but, she fought her illness, she wanted to continue living with her illness because she wanted to be with him. Once he left her, she no longer cared whether she lived or perished. To her, her life ended with his and sat waiting for the time when they could be reunited in spirit.
I think I would probably be the same way. I've been married to my man (Mr. Virgo) for almost a quarter of a century and if he died tomorrow - my death would come shortly after because he is my mate and I am with him for life. If he dies, then my life is over as well. Without him, I have no meaning. He is my rock, he is my foundation - I cannot exist without him.
So, I don't think it's an obession. I think it's because we complete each other. We are one person together, half a person apart.

Just spotted another English grammar faux pas from branh0913!
"..But I don't think the British __talk__ better english than Americans."
SPEAK branh0913. It should be SPEAK. What yuo were trying to say there is that you don't think the British SPEAK better english than the Americans.
